What do you like best about the product?

One thing I truly like about this is how straightforward it is to pick up and use, even if you're not a technical expert. The clean interface helps me set up and manage automated file transfers without feeling overwhelmed. Scheduling transfers, keeping an eye on progress, and receiving alerts when something goes wrong, it all just works without drama. The customer support is helpful and responsive. Makes it smoother to implement.

What do you dislike about the product?

It takes time to implement initially. Documentation can be overwhelming. Also the pricing may be high for small teams.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

It is a dependable solution for anyone needing secure, automated and auditable file transfer system. With its strong focus on security, automation and usability, it helps keeps sensitive data protected while making file management more efficient and less stressful.

We use GoAnywhere MFT  to store and transfer files from our main system servers to the desktop, and also transfer files from cloud software such as Dropbox  and AWS .

The solution has significantly improved our file transfer process. For instance, if we need to transfer files but anticipate being busy during the scheduled transfer time, we can set a specific time for the transfer. We can organize all the files that need to be sent at that time, and then schedule the system to automatically run the transfer process. This automation makes the work effortless and has increased our productivity. By eliminating the need for manual file transfers, we can redirect our time to other tasks. The system takes over the monitoring of the file transfers, saving us the costs associated with hiring a specialist specifically to manage this process. Instead, all we have to do is check if the files were successfully transferred.

One of the advantages of using GoAnywhere is that it automatically retries file transfers until they are successful. This means that the majority of the time, files are transferred without any need for manual oversight. Overall, the automation features significantly enhance our productivity by minimizing the necessity for a person to monitor each transfer.

The solution connects safely with recommended third-party solutions, and these connections are fast and seamless. We use the GoAnywhere MFT  connectors, and these connectors connect successfully during integration. When connecting the connectors, it takes less time as long as you fill in the required credentials and information. Once connected successfully, file sharing from the connectors to the GoAnywhere MFT  tool is very easy, and the process is quick.

Regarding the range of connectors that GoAnywhere MFT  provides out of the box, all the connectors that my organization uses connect successfully. The range is good because we primarily use connectors such as Microsoft and Dropbox , and we can connect efficiently with them.

The GoAnywhere MFT Agents feature allows us to extend the system to remote locations. When you extend the system to remote connections, the GoAnywhere MFT Agents assist in monitoring and transferring files at the remote end, making the system accessible remotely. We previously used secure forms when we wanted to request information and credentials during file transfers. We used secure forms to set the requirements for the needed files and to communicate with co-workers to easily find the information to be transferred at the right time.

One of the best features of GoAnywhere MFT is FileCatalyst, which helps us to transfer large files and assists in compressing them. When you compress large files, you can transfer them after compressing, and it also assists in decompressing after transferring. For example, when transferring large files from the servers to the Dropbox system, you will have to decompress a large file, which will take less time to be transferred.

Another excellent feature is called GoDrive, which also helps us to transfer large files. Additionally, there is the automation process; GoAnywhere MFT helps us to monitor our transfers. For example, when I want to transfer a file and I'm busy, I can schedule the transfer for the next hour. When the time arrives, the GoAnywhere MFT automation will help me to automatically transfer and monitor all the transfer processes.

We use the GoFast feature in combination with FileCatalyst and GoDrive because all three assist in easy and faster file transferring.

The areas I would request for improvement within GoAnywhere MFT are mostly regarding the support team, as I experience some delays in responses to inquiries. If the support team is unavailable, perhaps they could assist us in training an AI agent with a comprehensive knowledge base. This way, when we require assistance, we can use the AI agent to help solve some issues instead of waiting for support.

I have been using the solution for one year.

GoAnywhere MFT in my organization has been stable with very few drawbacks. Since it has had very few drawbacks, every transfer process runs smoothly, even when using features such as AC2 and AC3.

We have multiple locations, primarily because we have a central server where most activities are monitored. Currently, we have approximately six users working with GoAnywhere MFT.

Before switching to GoAnywhere MFT, we were using solutions such as Google Drive  and SharePoint  for file transfers. Now, I find that GoAnywhere MFT is one tool that combines all those other tools, functioning as all solutions in one for file transfers. I see it as the best because it simplifies what you could do with many software by combining them into one.

The deployment process is easy, taking around one week.

The solution requires maintenance when the system is updated, but no maintenance is needed when the system is stable and not being upgraded. We perform maintenance only when a new version is produced.

I estimate that GoAnywhere MFT helps us save approximately 30% of our investment and the resources we would otherwise use while relying on smaller tools.

For me, the pricing is okay. It also depends on the requirements of the organization, but overall, it is cost-efficient.

I would recommend it because it helps monitor and transfer both large and small files, even in the absence of team members. The software includes an automation feature, allowing users to schedule file transfers for specific times. You will find that the files are transferred at the scheduled time without any further control from the user. This is a significant achievement for any organization or individual using it, as it saves time and makes the work process more effortless.

What do you like best about the product?

Once it is set up, it is genuinely easy to use. Scheduling, automating and monitoring transfers is super smooth and it supports multiple protocols which makes integration quite simple. It has saved us a lot of manual effort to be honest.

What do you dislike about the product?

I found the setup to be confusing at first. The UI felt a bit old school. Some features aren't very intuitive and the documentation could have explained things a little better. But once you're past that, it does it's job well.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

GoAnywhere MFT appears to securely transfer large volumes of files across teams and systems without any manual work. Earlier, we used to rely on scripts and ad-hoc tools which were messy and very prone to errors. This software however centralizes everything, reduces the risk of failed transfers and saves us a lot of time with its automation and features concerning scheduling.

We use GoAnywhere for secure transfer of files. It has easy to use interface and strong encryption capabilities during transit and rest.

What do you dislike about the product?

Scripting, Cobditonal logic takes time to understand. Support can be improved

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

It eliminates the security risk while transfering the files. Users can automate the file tranfers based on logic it reduces manual effort.

We mainly use GoAnywhere MFT  to transfer our files over the cloud in a more secure manner. That is our primary purpose with GoAnywhere MFT . The best advantage of GoAnywhere MFT  is that the files we transfer or share are encrypted, so data safety is also one of the main factors that we depend on GoAnywhere MFT  for.

My favorite feature of GoAnywhere MFT is the encryption that is provided, which is very appreciable. In terms of other favorite features, I would say the triggers and the scheduling option that it provides. Also, there's a service called the FileCatalyst service in GoAnywhere MFT that allows us to send larger files in a much quicker fashion, approximately five or six times quicker than a regular file transfer, so that is also one of the cool features about GoAnywhere MFT.

We immediately saw the benefits of GoAnywhere MFT because it is a cloud-based solution and that is where we were lacking in transferring data in a more secure manner. We were struggling with that, so with GoAnywhere MFT, we were able to resolve this immediately.

The cloud connectivity of GoAnywhere MFT to connect to different applications such as Microsoft Azure , Amazon, or Google Cloud  could improve, as it's a little bit patchy right now. They do provide it, which is very good, but it's a little bit patchy. Apart from that, I don't think there's anything else that they can improve.

I have been using GoAnywhere MFT for about a year and a half.

The initial deployment of GoAnywhere MFT was pretty straightforward and pretty easy. Since this is a cloud solution, we just had to create logins and proceed from there, so it wasn't difficult.

The GoAnywhere MFT platform hasn't crashed or experienced any issues so far; it's pretty smooth. This being a cloud solution for us depends on our internet connectivity, so it is quite stable. Only the connection with other applications that I mentioned earlier could improve, but apart from that, it's pretty stable.

In terms of scalability, it's quite scalable as more and more data we keep on adding. The size of the files that we continue to transfer via GoAnywhere MFT has increased from the day we started to now.

I have contacted the customer support of GoAnywhere MFT quite a few times.

The customer support team is very kind and polite. They're knowledgeable, as I go to them with many queries and doubts, and they don't hesitate to provide solutions. They are quick, with a response time within six to 12 hours, which is pretty good.

Before using GoAnywhere MFT, I was mainly dependent on Zoho Cloud, which was not good for us. That's why we switched to GoAnywhere MFT.

The onboarding process for GoAnywhere MFT took maybe a day or two, not more.

For the deployment of GoAnywhere MFT, we had a team, but it's a one-person job.

On a scale from one to ten, I give a score of ten out of ten for the support of GoAnywhere MFT.

I'm pretty clear with my experience using GoAnywhere MFT. I rate this solution as ten out of ten.
