cloudimg Windows Server 2022 AMI - 24/7 Expert Support
Pricing is based on actual usage, with charges varying according to how much you consume. Subscriptions have no end date and may be canceled any time. Alternatively, you can pay upfront for a contract, which typically covers your anticipated usage for the contract duration. Any usage beyond contract will incur additional usage-based costs.
Additional AWS infrastructure costs may apply. Use the AWS Pricing Calculator to estimate your infrastructure costs.
If you are an AWS Free Tier customer with a free plan, you are eligible to subscribe to this offer. You can use free credits to cover the cost of eligible AWS infrastructure. See AWS Free Tier for more details. If you created an AWS account before July 15th, 2025, and qualify for the Legacy AWS Free Tier, Amazon EC2 charges for Micro instances are free for up to 750 hours per month. See Legacy AWS Free Tier for more details.
You pay by the hour for the running instance, with no upfront commitment. The price you pay depends entirely on which EC2 instance type you launch. The listing covers a wide range of instance families, from small burstable sizes like t3.nano and t2.micro up to large compute, memory, storage, and GPU or accelerator instances. Each family and size carries its own hourly rate, so smaller instances cost less per hour and larger ones cost more. The same Windows Server 2022 image and 24/7 support apply across every instance type. You can stop billing by stopping the instance.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What do I actually get for the hourly rate on each instance type?
You get the running EC2 instance with a preconfigured, patched Windows Server 2022 image. It includes AWS CLI v2, the CloudWatch Agent, and the Systems Manager Agent. You also get 24/7 support with a guaranteed 24-hour response. The hourly rate scales with the instance size you launch.
Am I charged when my instance is stopped rather than running?
The software charge meters running instance-hours only. When you stop the instance, the hourly software charge stops accruing. Note that attached EBS storage and other underlying AWS resources may still incur separate AWS fees while the instance is stopped, since those are billed by AWS, not by this listing.
What drives the difference in hourly cost between instance types?
The hourly rate follows the instance type you choose. Larger instances with more vCPU, memory, storage, or GPU and accelerator capacity carry higher hourly rates. Smaller burstable sizes like t3.nano cost less per hour. The same image and support apply across all types, so only the compute size changes your rate.

An AMI is a virtual image that provides the information required to launch an instance. Amazon EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud) instances are virtual servers on which you can run your applications and workloads, offering varying combinations of CPU, memory, storage, and networking resources. You can launch as many instances from as many different AMIs as you need.
