FinThrive Hospital Chargemaster Dataset provides rich insights into patient outcomes, procedure trends, and drug/medical device utilization from a nationally representative sample of US hospital facilities.
In total, FinThrive captures information from over 650 facilities, with an above average distribution of urban hospitals and teaching facilities across 44 states. Data is available weekly with a 7 day lag, and averages approximately 65 million annual encounters across 11 million unique patients per year.
Unlike claims data, where information is limited by billing and coding rules, chargemaster data offers a more detailed view into patient facility encounters as it contains line-level charge information for all drugs, supplies, room and board charges, equipment and medical devices provided during treatment. Notably, chargemaster data captures newly approved drugs and medical devices that may lack unique HCPCS or NDC codes, offering insights into product adoption/utilization and patient outcomes that may not be captured in other real world data sources.
Additionally, chargemaster data enables in-depth cost and margin analyses of hospital procedures that are not always feasible with other real-world data sources. Users can analyze pricing trends, identify cost variations across services and departments, evaluate service profitability, and compare costs between different healthcare facilities.
All datasets are compliant to the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) to protect patient privacy and FinThrive is token agnostic meaning we work with most major tokenization vendors or can use our own proprietary FinThrive token.

This listing uses a single pricing dimension, Product Access (Units), and is offered at no cost. There are no tiers, instance sizes, or usage-based add-ons to choose from. The one dimension grants subscribers access to the product. Because pricing is free, there is nothing that scales up or down based on quantity, term, or usage. You subscribe under this one flat structure to gain access to the hospital chargemaster data.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What does the Product Access (Units) dimension actually grant subscribers?
It grants subscribers access to the hospital chargemaster data offered in this listing. The chargemaster data supports charge coding, compliance, and pricing benchmark analysis across a health system. One unit represents your subscription to that data access at no cost.
Will my cost change as usage, users, or data volume grow?
No. This listing is offered at no cost through a single Product Access (Units) dimension. There are no usage meters, tiers, or quantity thresholds that trigger charges. Your cost stays at zero regardless of how much data you access or how many users subscribe.
Are there separate charges for coding, compliance, or pricing benchmark features?
No separate charges apply. The listing bills through one free Product Access (Units) dimension. The chargemaster data covers coding, compliance, and pricing benchmark reference information without add-on fees. For deployment or integration details beyond data access, contact the vendor.
