You pay by the hour for support tied to the AWS EC2 instance you run Anolis OS 23 on. Each dimension maps to one specific EC2 instance type, from small burstable instances up to large memory, compute, storage, GPU, and bare-metal machines. Your rate scales with the instance you choose, so larger instances carry a higher hourly charge. Billing is usage-based, meaning you pay only for the hours each instance runs. There are no tiers or upfront commitments; you simply select the instance type that matches your workload.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What am I paying for with each hourly rate?
You pay for vendor support of Anolis OS 23 running on your chosen EC2 instance. The charge covers software support tied to that instance, billed for each hour the instance runs. The underlying EC2 compute is billed separately by AWS.
Am I charged when my EC2 instance is stopped or paused?
The hourly software charge applies only while the instance runs. A fully stopped instance does not accrue software charges. You may still owe AWS for attached storage on a stopped instance, but the support meter counts running hours only.
How does the hourly charge change if I move to a larger instance type?
Each dimension maps to one EC2 instance type. Larger instances carry a higher hourly support rate. If you switch instance types, your rate changes to match the new instance you run. You pay the rate for whichever instance is active.
