You pay by the hour for the GigaOps Security Agent, billed per running EC2 instance. Pricing has no upfront commitment and follows your actual usage. Each dimension maps to a specific EC2 instance type, so your rate depends on which instance size you launch. Smaller instances like nano and micro sizes carry lower hourly rates. Larger compute, memory, storage, and GPU instances, up to metal and multi-terabyte sizes, carry higher rates. You choose the instance that fits your workload, and the software charge scales with that choice alongside standard AWS infrastructure costs.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What counts as one billable unit for the GigaOps Security Agent?
Each dimension is one running EC2 instance of the named type, billed per hour. One instance of a given size counts as one unit. If you run several instances, each accrues its own hourly software charge. Your rate depends on the instance type you launch.
Am I charged when an instance is stopped or powered off?
The hourly software charge applies only while an instance runs. Stopped or powered-off instances do not accrue software fees. You may still pay standard AWS charges for attached storage on stopped instances, but the software meters running time only.
How does my cost change if I switch to a larger instance type?
Each instance type maps to its own hourly rate. Moving from a smaller size to a larger compute, memory, storage, or GPU instance raises your hourly software charge. The change takes effect when you launch the new instance type. Your AWS infrastructure cost also changes accordingly.
