Each one maps to a specific Amazon EC2 instance type, such as general-purpose, compute-optimized, memory-optimized, storage, GPU, and high-performance families. Your rate depends on which instance type you launch. Larger sizes within a family carry higher hourly rates because they provide more compute, memory, or storage. You pick the instance that fits your workload and pay only for the hours it runs. No upfront commitment applies.
