Dimensions summary
You pay by the hour for each running Duality Platform Node, based on the compute instance size you choose. The four options map to different AWS compute instance types, from c6a.4xlarge up through c6a.8xlarge, c6a.12xlarge, and c6a.16xlarge. As the instance size grows, the hourly rate rises to match the added processing capacity. You pick the size that fits your workload for privacy-preserving queries, analytics, and collaborative AI. Billing is usage-based, so you pay only for the hours each node runs. You can run more nodes to add capacity.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
Each node maps to one AWS compute instance you run, sized as c6a.4xlarge, c6a.8xlarge, c6a.12xlarge, or c6a.16xlarge. Billing counts each running instance separately by the hour. If you run several nodes, each accrues its own hourly charge based on its chosen instance size.
Hourly software charges apply only while a node is running. Fully stopped nodes do not accrue software charges. Stopped instances may still incur underlying AWS storage fees, but the Duality software meters running time only.
You can add capacity two ways. Choose a larger instance size, moving up from c6a.4xlarge to c6a.8xlarge, c6a.12xlarge, or c6a.16xlarge for more processing power per node. You can also run more nodes at once. Each running node bills independently by the hour.
