Overview
This is a repackaged open source software product wherein additional charges apply for deployment of the application and AMI support and compliance. ntopng is a high-speed web-based traffic analysis and flow collection. ntopng is the next generation version of the original ntop, a network traffic probe that monitors network usage. ntopng is based on libpcap/PF_RING and it has been written in a portable way in order to virtually run on every platform.

Dimensions summary
You pay by the hour for ntopng running on an Amazon EC2 instance. Each dimension maps to a specific EC2 instance type, so your rate depends on the instance you choose to launch. Options span general-purpose, compute-optimized, memory-optimized, storage-optimized, and accelerated families, along with metal and high-memory sizes. Larger instances carry more CPU, memory, or storage, and their hourly rates rise accordingly. There are no tiers or feature packages to pick. You simply select the instance that fits your network monitoring workload, and billing accrues only while it runs.

Each dimension maps to one running EC2 instance of that type, with ntopng pre-installed by Code Creator. The rate covers the software license for that instance size. CPU, memory, and storage differ by instance family, so a larger size delivers more resources at a higher hourly rate.
Software charges accrue per hour only while the instance runs. A fully stopped instance stops accruing the ntopng software fee. Note that underlying AWS storage or other resource fees may still apply while the instance is stopped, separate from the software license.
Billing is usage-based and metered by the hour. You pay only for the hours each instance runs, with no upfront commitment or fixed term. If you stop the instance, metering stops. This suits variable or short-term network monitoring workloads.
