Overview
This is a repackaged open-source software product wherein additional charges apply for support and for providing it in a simple consumable AMI. The Uptime service Monitor from globalsolutions helps customers to monitor the availability of their services or websites. We have made it simple for our customers to input certain configurations to monitor the uptime of the services. We have integrated Prometheus, Grafanna, and Alert Manager to monitor the uptime of any websites or services and the downstream availability alerting into Email, Slack & Pagerduty.

Dimensions summary
You pay by the hour based on the EC2 instance size you run this monitoring software on. Pricing is not tiered by features. Every instance runs the same uptime monitoring service. The dimensions map to standard AWS instance families: burstable t2 and t3 types for lighter or variable workloads, and general-purpose m5, m6a, and m7a types for steady workloads. Within each family, sizes scale from nano and micro up to 48xlarge. Larger instances carry higher hourly rates, so your cost depends on the compute capacity you choose. Billing appears as a line item on your AWS bill.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
Each unit is one running EC2 instance-hour of the chosen size. The software runs on that instance and monitors your web services. You must attach an Elastic IP to the instance. Larger instance types provide more compute for handling more monitoring targets. All sizes run the same monitoring service.
Software charges accrue per running instance-hour. When you stop the instance, hourly software charges stop. Underlying AWS storage fees for the stopped instance may still apply, but the software meters only running time. Restarting the instance resumes the hourly charge for the size you selected.
Larger instances add compute capacity, not features. Every instance size runs the same uptime monitoring service. Pricing is not tiered by feature. Choose a size based on how many targets you monitor and how much load you expect. Your hourly rate rises with the compute capacity you pick.
