This is a repackaged open-source software product wherein additional charges apply for support and for providing it in a simple consumable AMI.Production-ready, security-hardened Tomcat server for development and production environments. In order to make the monitoring easier we have enabled JMX monitoring so you can monitor the server as your application goes into production. Start the Jconsole or Tomcat Manager from the desktop to monitor your Tomcat server.

Dimensions summary
You pay by the hour for a Tomcat web server running on Windows Server 2022. Pricing is charged for the software on top of your AWS infrastructure cost. Each dimension maps to a specific EC2 instance type, so your rate depends on the instance size you launch. Smaller burstable instances (t2 and t3 families) suit light or variable workloads. General-purpose families (m4, m5, m5a, m5d, m5dn, m5ad, m5n, m5zn, m6a, m7a) scale up in CPU and memory for heavier use. You are billed only for the hours each instance runs.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
Each hourly rate covers the Tomcat software license on a Windows Server 2022 instance. You pay this on top of the underlying AWS EC2 infrastructure cost, which AWS bills separately. The rate matches the specific EC2 instance type you launch, so larger instances carry a different software rate.
The software fee meters running instance-hours only. When you stop an instance, hourly software charges stop accruing. Stopped instances may still incur AWS storage fees for attached volumes, but those are separate from the software license and billed by AWS directly.
You launch a new EC2 instance of the size you need. Each instance type maps to its own hourly software rate, so your bill changes to match the new instance's rate. There is no upfront commitment; you pay only for the hours each instance runs.
