AWS Marketplace now accepts line of credit payments through the PNC Vendor Finance program. This program is available to select AWS customers in the US, excluding NV, NC, ND, TN, & VT.
Pricing is based on the duration and terms of your contract with the vendor, and additional usage. You pay upfront or in installments according to your contract terms with the vendor. This entitles you to a specified quantity of use for the contract duration. Usage-based pricing is in effect for overages or additional usage not covered in the contract. These charges are applied on top of the contract price. If you choose not to renew or replace your contract before the contract end date, access to your entitlements will expire.
Additional AWS infrastructure costs may apply. Use the AWS Pricing Calculator to estimate your infrastructure costs.
Guardian pricing combines a base subscription with usage-based charges across three service tiers: Flex, Advanced, and Premium. You pay hourly for managed virtual machines and managed databases, with rates set per tier. An operations fee applies as a percentage of eligible AWS usage, which rises at the Premium tier. CloudFlex work bills hourly, split between business hours and after hours. You also pay per automated task executed, plus Premium disaster recovery oversight. A minimum monthly fee adjustment applies if total usage falls below your contracted minimum.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What is the difference between the Flex, Advanced, and Premium tiers for billing purposes?
The tiers set the rates you pay for managed virtual machines and databases. Flex and Advanced apply a 12 percent operations fee on eligible AWS usage; Premium applies 15 percent. Premium also adds disaster recovery oversight for AWS Elastic Disaster Recovery. Higher tiers expand the scope of managed services included.
How does the operations fee combine with the hourly managed resource charges on my bill?
You pay hourly for each managed virtual machine and managed database at your tier rate. Separately, the operations fee bills as a percentage of eligible AWS usage. Both charges apply together. The operations fee scales with your total AWS spend, while resource charges scale with the count and runtime of managed items.
What does the minimum monthly fee adjustment mean for my invoice?
If your total monthly Guardian charges fall below the minimum you contracted, this adjustment adds the difference. It ensures your bill meets the agreed minimum during lower-usage months. When your usage exceeds the contracted minimum, the adjustment does not apply.
