Overview
Code Creator Telemetry Command Center provides a ready-to-launch private telemetry appliance built around InfluxDB 3 Core. It is designed for organizations that want the performance and flexibility of InfluxDB 3 Core in their own AWS account without having to assemble the surrounding deployment, monitoring, access, backup, and recovery workflows themselves.
The appliance automatically initializes the database environment on first launch, creates customer specific credentials, configures HTTPS access, starts built in system telemetry, and presents a Code Creator Command Center for day to day operation.
The Command Center provides an at a glance view of InfluxDB health, telemetry freshness, EC2 host CPU and memory utilization, database status, and appliance services. Built-in telemetry begins automatically, allowing customers to confirm that data is flowing immediately after deployment.
Integrated InfluxDB 3 Explorer access provides a graphical interface for querying, visualizing, writing, and managing InfluxDB data. Explorer is integrated with the authenticated Command Center workflow so customers do not need to manually create the appliance's default connection after installation.
Customers can also connect additional supported Linux or EC2 systems as telemetry sources and use the Command Center to verify that metrics begin arriving.
A guided Health Check performs live validation of key appliance functions, including InfluxDB availability, telemetry freshness, essential services, and an end-to-end synthetic write and query test. This helps customers distinguish between a healthy database, a telemetry-source issue, and an appliance service problem without beginning with Linux command line troubleshooting.
Optional protected backup and recovery workflows are included. Customers can configure a private Amazon S3 bucket and authorize the appliance using an EC2 IAM role. Permanent AWS access keys are not required or stored by the Command Center. The appliance supports backup destination validation, on demand backups, saved backup schedules, backup verification, and guided recovery to a fresh compatible replacement appliance.
Guided Recovery is designed to restore protected InfluxDB data and reconcile the Code Creator managed Explorer connection automatically. Recovery Verification provides a clear result after restoration so customers can confirm that historical data has been recovered and new telemetry continues to arrive.
The core appliance does not require an S3 bucket or IAM role to begin operating. Backup and recovery can be configured later when required.
Security-conscious deployment is built into the appliance design. The InfluxDB database service is kept private behind the appliance rather than exposed directly to the public internet. Customer access is provided through authenticated HTTPS interfaces for the Command Center and Explorer. Customers retain administrative access to the EC2 instance using the Amazon EC2 key pair selected at launch.
The validated deployment configuration for this release is Ubuntu 26.04.1 LTS. Actual resource requirements may increase with telemetry volume, retention requirements, query workload, and the number of connected systems. Dimensions summary
You pay by the hour based on the AWS EC2 instance type you choose to run InfluxDB 3. Pricing is not tiered by features. Instead, each dimension maps to a specific instance size, and your cost scales with the compute, memory, and hardware profile of that instance. Smaller shared instances like t2 and t3 sit at one end. Memory-optimized (r5), general-purpose (m6a), compute-optimized (c3), storage-optimized (i3), and accelerated instances (g3, f1, vt1) offer larger configurations. You select the instance that fits your workload and are billed for each hour it runs.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
Each dimension is one running EC2 instance, billed per hour. One unit equals one hour that a single instance of the chosen type stays running. Your bill multiplies the hourly rate by the hours that instance runs. Running several instances adds their hours together.
The software charge meters hours the instance actually runs. A stopped instance does not accrue hourly software charges. Underlying AWS costs, such as storage attached to a stopped instance, may still apply separately from this listing's hourly software fee.
Each instance runs InfluxDB 3, a database for collecting, processing, and storing time series and event data. Pricing is not tiered by features. The only variable is which EC2 instance type you pick and how long it runs. Larger instances carry different hourly rates.
