Stream uses a single pricing dimension: the number of cameras. You pay per camera under a contract, and each camera license carries no limit on the number of plate lookups. Your cost scales directly with how many cameras you connect. Add cameras to grow coverage, and your total rises with each unit. For live feeds, one camera license runs around the clock. For stored video files, each license processes up to 30 hours per month, so heavier video workloads require more camera licenses.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What counts as one camera for billing purposes?
One camera equals one connected IP camera feed or one video-file processing license. Each camera you connect to Stream counts as a single unit. You pay per camera regardless of how many plate lookups that camera reads, since there is no lookup limit per camera.
How does cost change if I need to process more stored video files?
Each camera license processes up to 30 hours of stored video per month. Live camera feeds run around the clock on one license. If you have more video footage than 30 hours, you add camera licenses. For example, 90 hours of video needs three licenses. Your cost rises with each added license.
Where can Stream run, and does it need constant internet access?
Stream runs in the vendor cloud, your own cloud, or on-premise. It operates with or without internet. If your connection drops, results save to disk and send once the system reconnects. This deployment flexibility does not change the per-camera pricing structure.
