Overview
Complete, gap-free and overlap-free polygon boundaries for 1,491,769 UK unit postcodes covering all of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, with nested sectors (11,868), districts (2,866) and postcode areas (121), plus a representative point for every postcode (1,492,101).
Built by Geolytica Inc. from its own geocoded postcode evidence (22.5 million observations collected through geocode.xyz). No Royal Mail, Ordnance Survey or OSNI postcode reference product was used (no PAF, Code-Point, ONSPD/NSPL or OSNI Pointer). The coastline/land mask comes from OS and OSNI open data under the Open Government Licence.

Coverage and quality
- All UK land: 243,677 km² — the unit polygons sum exactly to the land area (no gaps, no overlaps, 0 invalid geometries)
- 1,454,633 GB + 37,136 Northern Ireland unit postcodes; 99.98% of postcodes in the evidence receive a polygon
- 99.3% of polygons are grown directly from the postcode's own evidence points; the rest are placed within their own sector and flagged in the placement attribute
- Validation on withheld points: 91–93% land in their own unit polygon and ~99.7% in their own sector in suburban and rural districts; 57–67% (unit) in dense city centres, where many postcodes share a building
- Dense city-centre sectors are flagged (zone = city_centre), and postcodes sharing a location are grouped (stack_group, stack_size)
- Tidal water is excluded; inland water is included in the surrounding postcodes
