Overview
Cake is a managed open-source AI platform that runs entirely inside your AWS VPC, enabling enterprises to build, deploy, and operate generative AI and machine learning workloads securely and at scale. Cake delivers a production-ready AI platform built on a curated set of popular open-source technologies. The platform is continuously expanded with new open-source applications, frameworks, and integrations, allowing customers to adopt emerging AI capabilities without rebuilding infrastructure or managing complex upgrades. Customers use Cake to run RAG pipelines, agent-based systems, fine-tuning workflows, batch and real-time inference, and end-to-end ML pipelines. Integrated components include Kubeflow, Ray, MLflow, Langflow, Langfuse, and an evolving ecosystem of open-source tooling for orchestration, observability, and cost control. All compute, data, and models remain within the AWS environment of the customer. Cake integrates with AWS services including EKS, EC2, S3, CloudWatch, Bedrock. The platform supports private networking, customer-managed encryption keys, and centralized governance with RBAC, audit logging, and usage observability. Cake aligns with AWS Well-Architected best practices and is designed to support enterprise security, compliance, and scalability requirements, including SOC 2 and HIPAA-aligned operational practices.
