Each listed instance carries its own hourly software rate, so your cost scales with the compute size and family you select. Smaller shared-CPU instances (the t2, t3, and t3a families) suit lighter workloads, while the larger m-family instances (m4 through m7) offer more cores and memory for heavier use.
