ButterStack unifies Perforce, Jenkins, Jira, and Steam into a single DevOps dashboard built for game development studios. It replaces fragmented toolchains with integrated build monitoring, asset management, and AI-powered build failure analysis, helping teams ship games faster. Purpose-built for indie to AA studios running on AWS infrastructure.
ButterStack is a SaaS platform that solves the toolchain fragmentation problem in game development. Studios typically manage 5-8 disconnected tools across version control, CI-CD, project tracking, distribution, and monitoring, with no unified view of their pipeline. ButterStack connects these tools into a single dashboard with real-time visibility across the entire development lifecycle.
Core capabilities include Perforce version control integration with asset previews, Jenkins CI-CD pipeline monitoring with AI-powered build failure analysis, Jira project tracking sync, and Steam distribution management. The platform supports Unreal Engine and Unity workflows with native integrations for Discord, GitHub, Linear, and Slack.
Highlights
Unify Perforce, Jenkins, Jira, and Steam in one dashboard. Stop context-switching across 5-8 disconnected tools to answer basic questions about your pipeline.
AI-powered build failure analysis. When a build breaks, ButterStack diagnoses the failure and recommends a fix instead of leaving your team to read logs.
Built for game studios, not general software teams. Native support for Unreal Engine and Unity workflows, large binary assets, and the Perforce-centric pipelines studios actually run.

Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What counts as one seat for billing across the Indie, Team, and Studio types?
A seat maps to one team member who uses the platform. You buy seats per type and set the quantity to match your team. Each seat carries its own monthly allowance of agentic build remediation credits and access to that type's integration, storage, and data retention limits.
How do the agentic build remediation credits work, and what happens when I run out?
Each AI action uses 100 credits, covering build fixes, failure analysis, and asset analysis. Every seat type includes a monthly allowance that resets at the start of each billing cycle. The Indie, Team, and Studio types carry increasing allowances. Larger allowances suit teams running more frequent build remediation.
What differs between the three seat types beyond credit allowances?
Beyond credit allowances, the types differ in integration, storage, and data retention limits, which increase from Indie to Team to Studio. The Studio seat also adds automatic build remediation, which fixes builds without manual steps. All types include core integrations, build monitoring, and connection to version control and CI/CD tools.
