You deploy the Netskope Private Access Publisher at no software cost. This listing is free to use, so you pay only for the underlying AWS EC2 instance you choose to run it on. Pricing is organized by EC2 instance type, billed hourly. The options span several families, including t2, t3, t3a, m3, m4, m5, m5a, m5ad, m5d, m5dn, and m5n. Within each family, sizes range from nano and micro up to metal and 24xlarge. Larger sizes provide more compute capacity. You pick the instance that matches your throughput and workload needs.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
Am I charged for the Publisher software when an EC2 instance is stopped or idle?
The Publisher software carries no charge, so no software fees accrue whether the instance runs or is stopped. You pay only for the underlying AWS EC2 instance. A stopped instance stops hourly compute charges, though AWS storage fees may still apply.
What does one hourly unit cover for a given instance type?
Each hourly unit maps to one running EC2 instance of the type you select, billed per hour it runs. The instance type sets the compute, memory, and network capacity. Larger families and sizes give more capacity for higher throughput.
What does the Publisher do, and does its role affect how I size the instance?
The Publisher connects your private applications to the Netskope Private Access broker for zero-trust access. Higher user counts and traffic volume need more compute. You size the instance to match expected throughput, choosing a family and size that fits your access load.
