Monitor your entire server estate from a single pane of glass. Redgate Monitor Enterprise delivers complete observability across SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Oracle, MySQL and MongoDB, on premises, for cloud and across hybrid environments. Your team gets the performance insight, intelligent alerting and cloud cost visibility to confidently migrate, optimize and modernize on AWS.
MONITOR YOUR ENTIRE ESTATE FROM A SINGLE PANE OF GLASS SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Oracle, MySQL and MongoDB, all in one place. Get one unified view of all your instances, availability groups, clusters and virtual machines, then drill down from any of them to detailed performance statistics. Add new servers as your estate grows and track configurations, installed versions and patches, licensing, disk usage and backups from the same place.
OPTIMIZE CLOUD PERFORMANCE AND CONTROL SPEND When you migrate to Amazon RDS for SQL Server, Amazon Aurora or Amazon RDS for PostgreSQL, Redgate Monitor gives you full visibility into database performance before, during and after the move. Your team can baseline workloads, catch performance drops the moment they occur and go live with confidence instead of surprises. The same real time visibility follows your workloads across hybrid and cloud native environments, from one central dashboard.
Virtual machine cost data flows directly from AWS into the platform, turning cloud cost unpredictability into financial control. See allocated versus actual usage across vCPUs, memory and storage for every virtual machine in your estate, compare spend period over period and identify where provisioning significantly exceeds consumption. Right sizing decisions become evidence based, directly supporting the cost optimization and performance efficiency pillars of the AWS Well Architected Framework.
FAST DIAGNOSIS AND PROACTIVE RESOLUTION Optimize performance and mitigate risks across your database estate with instant problem diagnosis, intelligent alerting and deep dive performance metrics. Customizable alerts tailored to your environment keep the answers to the health of your estate at your fingertips, so your team can drill into potential issues and resolve them before they affect users. Every deployment is tracked alongside key database metrics on the instance timeline, so when unusual behavior follows a release you know exactly where to start your investigation.
SAFEGUARD DATA SECURITY AND ENSURE COMPLIANCE Minimize the manual effort involved in ensuring data security and compliance. Instant visibility into past and present user access rights across your entire estate means your team always knows who has access to what and when that changed. Automated security auditing checks configurations continuously against recognized standards such as the CIS Benchmark for SQL Server 2022, providing a clear compliance trail without additional workload on the DBA team, while the sensitive action log records activity for full accountability during audits.
ENTERPRISE RESILIENCE, TRUSTED AT SCALE A high availability architecture runs multiple Base Monitors behind load balancers, ensuring monitoring continuity even when individual components require maintenance or fail. The Data API integrates monitoring data into existing operational tooling, reporting systems and management dashboards, so the intelligence your DBAs rely on reaches every team that needs it.

Customer reviews
Proactive monitoring has improved daily database performance and alerts support rapid issue resolution
What is our primary use case?
I mainly use Redgate Monitor for day-to-day activity, including tasks like backup, performance tuning, and slow-running queries, and it has been very helpful for me for various purposes such as alerts and monitoring CPU usage, memory, and disk latency.
Regarding my main use case for Redgate Monitor day-to-day, alerting is crucial for me since it gives me deep query-level visibility, and I appreciate the multi-platform monitoring capabilities for SQL, Oracle, and MySQL, along with the clean documentation and easy installation process.
What is most valuable?
The best features Redgate Monitor offers, in my opinion, include the agents and the alerting capabilities, which provide me confidence as a proactive DBA, helping me quickly identify and fix issues such as blocking chains and long-running queries.
The alerting features particularly stand out as they notify me about long-running queries in our environment, allowing me to diagnose issues promptly, and while we use native tools, Redgate Monitor's alerting system saves us time on various projects.
I believe Redgate Monitor has positively impacted my organization, and I would rate its effectiveness as an 8 regarding specific outcomes.
What needs improvement?
For improvement, I think Redgate Monitor's alert customization depth could be enhanced; I would appreciate more granular control over notification rules such as user permissions and alert grouping, as well as attention towards resource usage since Redgate Monitor can be resource-intensive.
Addressing needed improvements, I believe a better learning curve for new users who might find features complicated could be beneficial; more simplified metrics dashboards would aid not just new users but anyone in navigating the tool more effectively.

My advice for anyone considering using Redgate Monitor is to take the time to learn about its features before diving in, as jumping in without understanding the metrics can lead to confusion.
Overall, I truly love Redgate Monitor and would recommend it to anyone in database administration, but I also recognize that improvements and upgrades, especially concerning its AI features, are essential for ongoing development. I have given this review an overall rating of 8.5.
