Am I charged the hourly software rate when my EC2 instance is stopped?
The software charge meters running instance-hours only. A stopped instance does not accrue the hourly software fee. You may still pay underlying AWS storage fees for the volume while the instance is stopped, but the software licence bills active running time.
What does one billed hour actually give me on this listing?
One billed hour covers a running virtual machine of your chosen EC2 instance type, preconfigured with Puppeteer on headless Ubuntu. You connect over SSH as the 'ubuntu' user and run scripts from the /home/ubuntu/Puppeteer directory. The rate reflects the instance's CPU, memory, and GPU size.
If I switch to a bigger instance type, how does my hourly cost change?
Each instance type is a separate dimension with its own hourly rate. Switching to a larger type applies that type's rate for every hour it runs. The change is manual — you launch or relaunch on the new type. You pay only for the hours each type actually runs.

An AMI is a virtual image that provides the information required to launch an instance. Access the NodeJS directory with cd /home/ubuntu/Puppeteer/NodeJS. Run the prebuilt script using the command: node script.js
