Easily deploy Jitsi Meet with AWS infrastructure: a self-hosted, secure, and scalable video conferencing platform designed for modern organizations. With Jitsi Meet, you can host and record high-quality meetings while maintaining full control over infrastructure, data, and privacy all within your own AWS account.
Our pre-configured AMI enables rapid deployment and smooth operation of Jitsi Meet, optimized for up to 50 concurrent users. The deployment includes a single server with Jitsi Meet and Jitsi Video Bridge (JVB), and a second server with Jibri to enable recording of one meeting at a time. Recordings are automatically uploaded to your configured AWS S3 bucket. This setup also includes an AWS CloudWatch monitoring dashboard in addition to core Jitsi components..

Jitsi Meet 50 concurrent user video conferencing setup with recording
The cloudformation script will deploy Jitsi Meet and Jitsi Video Bridge in a single server and deploy 1 Jibri recording server.
CloudFormation Template (CFT)
AWS CloudFormation templates are JSON or YAML-formatted text files that simplify provisioning and management on AWS. The templates describe the service or application architecture you want to deploy, and AWS CloudFormation uses those templates to provision and configure the required services (such as Amazon EC2 instances or Amazon RDS DB instances). The deployed application and associated resources are called a "stack."

Usage instructions
Click the "View Purchase Options" button. After that, you will need to accept the terms and conditions. Click on "Accept Terms" to proceed. Please wait for a few minutes while the processing takes place. Once it's completed, click on "Continue to Configuration". Select your preferred region in "Configure this software" page and click "Continue to Launch" button. From the "Choose Action" dropdown menu, select "Launch CloudFormation", and then click "Launch". Fill the data and continue to deploy the product.
Access the application via a browser at http://<domain-name>. To generate SSL certificates first point dns to server, login to the instance and run certbot --nginx. To ssh, use port 22 and the username 'ubuntu'. Admin email is required for SSL generation. IAM Role is set up and configured with the necessary permissions to assume the role for the meet and jibri services. IAM policy assigned to instances for push metrics to cloudwatch dashboard, push recordings to S3 bucket and change volume type of jibris.

What do you like best about the product?
It is a free alternative, easy to integrate and implement on your own website, with the possibility to customize the functions available in the interface and with servers available to connect your meetings.
Additionally, it has a mobile application that allows you to extend its utility across all types of devices.

The software uses quite a lot of resources from the client devices that connect to the call, which can cause them to slow down or not provide a good experience on devices with low specifications.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We discovered Jitsi during the pandemic, a time when mandatory confinement made work difficult for many industries, including the development of educational activities.
In this context, Jitsi provided us with a viable alternative for conducting remote classes, through the scheduling of meetings for students in each classroom and its different configuration options, which allowed for its safe and reliable use in a school environment.

What do you like best about the product?
Amazing tool which is used to enable video conferencing in website or mobile applications. Enhance with good security features and compatibility with the devices. Very easy to integrate with front-end applications. Provides great support in online community. Good frequency of the product usage.

Nothing is like a dislike for Jitsi tool.

Help to enable the video conferencing feature in my software product. Enhance my product features to make it competitive against other rivals in the industry.

What do you like best about the product?
I like that it can connect with my Outlook calendar or Google calendar. Also, I can start a meeting immediately because it is easy to use. It is a very useful tool that I use daily for meetings.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't really like the website's interface, it seems a bit dull and empty to me. Additionally, the colors are dark and that's not friendly to the eyes. I would recommend using lighter colors.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I like that in Jitsi I can have everything linked to start my video conference. Also, I feel that it is much simpler and easier to use compared to Skype or Zoom. It benefits me by saving time and having meetings with my clients. It is important to mention that many of the clients already know Jitsi and join the video conferences without any problems.

What do you like best about the product?
I like how easy it is to use, that it's free, that a large number of people can join the same video call, and also that it's customizable. A 10 out of 10 calling application.
What do you dislike about the product?
I believe there are things that are not so useful for a video conferencing application, such as the chat or also screen sharing. It consumes a lot of my computer's resources. I can't be playing and sharing my screen because it doesn't load for me.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
In the end, I found an application to be able to make video conferences with important people in my work world or even for domestic use with friends or to talk with family.

I like how easy the system is to manage and use. The installation is very straightforward as well.

I dislike how active directory integration requires using ldap query structure.
