You pay by the hour for running Nginx on Ubuntu 22.04, with the software supported by Fifty Clouds. Pricing is usage-based, so charges accrue only while an instance runs. Each dimension maps to a specific AWS EC2 instance type, from small burstable options like t2.micro and t3.nano to large memory, compute, storage, and GPU instances such as x2idn.metal, r7a.48xlarge, and p5.48xlarge. The hourly rate reflects the size and capabilities of the instance you choose. Larger instances with more CPU, memory, or specialized hardware carry higher hourly rates. You select the instance that fits your workload.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What does one hourly unit map to for each pricing dimension?
Each dimension maps to one running AWS EC2 instance of the named type. You pay for each hour that instance runs. The instance type sets the CPU, memory, storage, and any specialized hardware. Running two instances of the same type bills two hourly charges at the same rate.
Am I charged when my instance is stopped or paused?
Software charges accrue only while an instance runs. A stopped instance does not accrue hourly software charges. Underlying AWS resources like attached storage may still bill separately through AWS, but the software meters running time only.
If I move to a larger instance type, does my hourly rate change?
Yes. Each instance type has its own hourly rate tied to its size and hardware. Switching from a smaller type to a larger one means you pay the larger type's rate for the hours it runs. The change applies when you launch the new instance, not automatically.
