Dimensions summary
You pay by the hour for the software running on your chosen Amazon EC2 instance. Pricing is not tiered by feature set. Instead, each dimension maps to a specific EC2 instance type, and the hourly rate reflects the size and compute power of that machine. The list spans small, burstable types like t3.nano and t3.micro up to memory- and compute-focused types like m5.large, c7a.large, c6in.large, and i3en.large. You select one instance type based on your workload, and your cost scales with the capacity of the instance you run.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
The rate covers the pre-configured Atlantis software running on that Amazon EC2 instance. Each dimension maps to one instance type. You pay per running hour of that machine. Underlying AWS infrastructure charges, such as storage and data transfer, are billed separately by AWS.
The software fee meters running time only. When you stop or terminate the instance, the hourly software charge stops accruing. You may still pay AWS for attached storage while the instance is stopped, but that is an AWS infrastructure cost, not the software licence.
You launch a new instance from the product AMI using a different instance type in the EC2 wizard. Your hourly rate then matches that new type. You are not locked to one size, so you can scale capacity up or down as your needs change.
