You pay by the hour for a hardened, PCI-compliant Ubuntu 20.04 image running on ARM-based instances. Pricing has no upfront commitment and scales with the instance type you select. Each dimension maps to a specific ARM instance size, from small burstable options to bare-metal and multi-core compute, memory, and storage-focused families. Larger instances carry higher hourly rates, so your cost tracks the compute, memory, and storage capacity you choose. AWS charges its own infrastructure fees separately. All instance choices deliver the same hardened, compliance-ready software image with vendor support.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
Each hourly unit covers one running instance of the size you select. The rate reflects that instance's compute, memory, and storage capacity. You are billed for each hour an instance runs, per instance. Running several instances multiplies the charge across all of them.
The software fee meters running time only, so a fully stopped instance stops accruing it. AWS may still charge separately for attached storage tied to a stopped instance. To halt software charges completely, stop or terminate the instance.
Every instance runs the same hardened, PCI-compliant Ubuntu 20.04 image. It applies NIST and DevSec hardening controls, includes documentation to support PCI compliance, and receives regular updates. Vendor support is included. The image is identical across all instance types; only the hardware capacity and hourly rate differ.
