This product has charges associated with it for a scalable, redundant, production-ready Jitsi Meet deployment capable of supporting thousands of concurrent users.
A deployment of Jitsi Meet Video Conferencing that's designed to be ready for production out of the box. Built to be redundant, highly available, and almost infinitely scalable. Battle-tested in production to support tens of thousands of simultaneous users, with built-in monitoring, logging, TURN NAT traversal and administration tools. Highly customizable for different use cases.
You can also contact us for help with customizations or add-ons, such as multi-region deployments, adding Jibri/Jigasi, or building custom frontends. For deployment instructions, see https://docs.quickdrawsoftware.com
Compliance note: The stack also creates 2 IAM roles. One is a Lambda execution role used only during stack provisioning to generate random strings used in e.g. the JWT Token option. The second is used to allow access to an S3 bucket for storing instance logs and to allow the built-in administration tools to control the shard autoscaling groups.

AWS Marketplace now accepts line of credit payments through the PNC Vendor Finance program. This program is available to select AWS customers in the US, excluding NV, NC, ND, TN, & VT.
Pricing is based on actual usage, with charges varying according to how much you consume. Subscriptions have no end date and may be canceled any time. Alternatively, you can pay upfront for a contract, which typically covers your anticipated usage for the contract duration. Any usage beyond contract will incur additional usage-based costs.
Additional AWS infrastructure costs may apply. Use the AWS Pricing Calculator to estimate your infrastructure costs.
If you are an AWS Free Tier customer with a free plan, you are eligible to subscribe to this offer. You can use free credits to cover the cost of eligible AWS infrastructure. See AWS Free Tier for more details. If you created an AWS account before July 15th, 2025, and qualify for the Legacy AWS Free Tier, Amazon EC2 charges for Micro instances are free for up to 750 hours per month. See Legacy AWS Free Tier for more details.
You pay by the hour based on the AWS EC2 instance type you run this Jitsi Meet deployment on. Each dimension maps to a specific instance size across several families, including general-purpose (m and t), compute-optimized (c), and memory-optimized (r) types. Larger instances carry more CPU, memory, and network capacity, so hourly cost rises with instance size. Pricing scales with the instance you choose, not with fixed tiers or user counts. You select the instance that fits your expected meeting load, and billing follows actual hours of use.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What does one hourly unit cover, and what runs on the instance I select?
One unit is one hour of running the chosen EC2 instance type. That instance runs the Jitsi Meet deployment plus built-in monitoring, logging, and administration tools. Each instance type sets fixed CPU, memory, and network capacity. You are billed for each hour the instance runs.
Am I charged when the instance is stopped or paused?
Software charges accrue per hour the instance runs. A fully stopped instance does not accrue software charges. Stopped instances may still incur underlying AWS storage fees for attached volumes, but the hourly software meter counts running time only.
How do I scale to support more simultaneous meeting users?
You scale by selecting a instance type with more CPU, memory, and network capacity. The deployment is built to be redundant and scalable to support thousands of simultaneous users. Hourly cost follows the instance size you run, so heavier loads use appropriately sized instances.

CloudFormation Template (CFT)
AWS CloudFormation templates are JSON or YAML-formatted text files that simplify provisioning and management on AWS. The templates describe the service or application architecture you want to deploy, and AWS CloudFormation uses those templates to provision and configure the required services (such as Amazon EC2 instances or Amazon RDS DB instances). The deployed application and associated resources are called a "stack."

Before launching the stack, create:
An EC2 Keypair in your region for SSH access
An Amazon Certificate Manager SSL certificate for your domain
(Optional) Set up a Slack Bot Token if you want monitoring notifications
After launching the stack:
Add a CNAME in the DNS for your domain which points to the load balancer DNS name provided as a stack output
If you enabled TURN, add an A record in the DNS from your TURN domain to the IP of the TURN server, provided as a stack output
If you enabled TURN, issue an SSL certificate by SSHing to the TURN EC2 instance and running 'sudo install-cert.sh'
(Optional) Copy the private key from your EC2 key pair to /root/.ssh/jitsi.pem on the Control EC2 instance if you want to use command line tools to administer your cluster. Make sure to chmod 600 the private key file.
(Optional) If JWT Tokens are enabled, use the key in the stack output to generate your access tokens
(Optional) If Secure Domain is enabled, add users to Prosody on the Meet server
After DNS propagation, Grafana is accessible at port 3000 on the provided domain with the username 'admin' and the password you provided, e.g. https://meet.example.com:3000
The control instance is accessible using SSH with the username ubuntu.
All other operating systems are accessible via SSH from the control instance.
