You pay based on how many DRM licenses you issue each month. A base fee covers the first 10,000 licenses. Beyond that, pricing steps through usage tiers, each measured in units of 1,000 licenses. The tiers move from the next 20,000 up through the next 2,000,000, then a separate rate for volume over 3,000,000 licenses. As your monthly volume grows, each additional band applies its own per-1,000 rate. A separate Custom integration dimension bills in units of $1, letting you add setup or integration work priced by the vendor.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What counts as one license for billing purposes?
A license is a decryption key issued when an authorized viewer presses play on protected content. Each play request that passes authorization triggers one license. Your monthly bill reflects the total licenses issued across all viewers and devices that month.
When my monthly volume enters a higher band, does the new rate apply to all licenses?
No. Each band's rate applies only to the licenses that fall within that band. The base fee covers your first 10,000. The next 20,000 use their own per-1,000 rate, and so on. Volume over 3,000,000 uses a separate rate. Charges accrue automatically as volume grows.
How does the Custom integration dimension work alongside the per-license charges?
The Custom integration dimension bills in units of $1, separate from license usage. You would use it for setup, integration, or migration work priced by the vendor. Your per-license charges still apply each month on top of any integration units billed.
