Try this product free for 30 days according to the free trial terms set by the vendor. Usage-based pricing is in effect for usage beyond the free trial terms. Your free trial gets automatically converted to a paid subscription when the trial ends, but may be canceled any time before that.
Pricing is based on actual usage, with charges varying according to how much you consume. Subscriptions have no end date and may be canceled any time. Alternatively, you can pay upfront for a contract, which typically covers your anticipated usage for the contract duration. Any usage beyond contract will incur additional usage-based costs.
Additional AWS infrastructure costs may apply. Use the AWS Pricing Calculator to estimate your infrastructure costs.
If you are an AWS Free Tier customer with a free plan, you are eligible to subscribe to this offer. You can use free credits to cover the cost of eligible AWS infrastructure. See AWS Free Tier for more details. See Legacy AWS Free Tier for more details.
You pay by the hour based on the EC2 instance size you run this managed single sign-on service on. Four instance types are available: t2.micro, t2.small, t2.medium, and t2.large. These are not feature tiers. They differ by compute and memory capacity, so pricing scales with the instance size you choose. You select the size that fits your workload and pay only for the hours it runs. The software supports up to 5,000 team users regardless of the instance you pick.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What compute and memory does each t2 instance size provide?
The four sizes are standard AWS t2 instances that differ by CPU and memory capacity. The t2.micro is the smallest, followed by t2.small, t2.medium, and t2.large in ascending resource order. You choose the size based on your workload's compute and memory needs. Each runs the same single sign-on software.
Am I charged when the instance is stopped or powered off?
Hourly software charges apply only while the instance runs. A fully stopped instance stops accruing hourly software fees. Underlying AWS resources like attached storage may still incur separate AWS charges even when the instance is stopped. The software meters running hours only.
What features does this managed single sign-on service include across all instance sizes?
All sizes include the same managed Shibboleth single sign-on. You get support for SAML, OIDC, OAuth, and directory integration, plus federation compatibility. The service connects to many SaaS applications, multi-factor authentication, and security monitoring tools. Instance size affects only compute capacity, not included features.

An AMI is a virtual image that provides the information required to launch an instance. Amazon EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud) instances are virtual servers on which you can run your applications and workloads, offering varying combinations of CPU, memory, storage, and networking resources. You can launch as many instances from as many different AMIs as you need.
It will take several minutes for newly launched instances to fully initialize. Once initialized, you can access the web application at https://<instance ip address>/admin. You can login using username: admin, password: <EC2 Instance ID>. For more information, please visit the documentation site at https://docs.9starinc.com/elasticsso-team/getting-started/.
