Ponder AI Agent & RAG Server provides a production-ready backend for building intelligent applications with retrieval augmented generation, AI agents, conversational assistants, and secure knowledge retrieval through simple APIs.
Ponder AI Agent & RAG Server is a production-ready AI backend designed for teams building intelligent applications, conversational experiences, and automated business workflows. It provides the core infrastructure required to connect language models with private knowledge, application data, tools, and structured workflows without requiring teams to build the entire AI orchestration layer from scratch.
The server supports retrieval augmented generation (RAG), AI agent workflows, knowledge-base querying, conversational assistants, prompt orchestration, and API-based integration. Applications can use it to retrieve relevant information, generate contextual responses, execute defined workflows, and provide personalized AI experiences across web and mobile products.
Built for production environments, the platform can serve as a centralized intelligence layer between applications and their AI capabilities. Developers can integrate the server into existing products through APIs while maintaining control over knowledge sources, application logic, access policies, and AI workflows.
Key capabilities include:
Retrieval augmented generation for private and domain specific knowledge
AI agent orchestration and autonomous task workflows
Conversational AI for chat based applications
Knowledge ingestion and semantic retrieval
API based integration with existing applications
Prompt and model orchestration
Context aware responses using application data
Support for scalable production AI architectures
Highlights
RAG-Powered Knowledge Retrieval : Connect AI applications to private documents, business data, and domain knowledge for more relevant, context-aware responses.
Agentic AI Workflows : Build AI agents capable of reasoning through defined tasks, invoking tools, retrieving information, and completing multi-step workflows.
Production-Ready AI Backend : Integrate conversational AI and intelligent automation into web, mobile, and business applications through a centralized API-driven architecture.
AWS Marketplace now accepts line of credit payments through the PNC Vendor Finance program. This program is available to select AWS customers in the US, excluding NV, NC, ND, TN, & VT.
Pricing is based on actual usage, with charges varying according to how much you consume. Subscriptions have no end date and may be canceled any time. Alternatively, you can pay upfront for a contract, which typically covers your anticipated usage for the contract duration. Any usage beyond contract will incur additional usage-based costs.
Additional AWS infrastructure costs may apply. Use the AWS Pricing Calculator to estimate your infrastructure costs.
If you are an AWS Free Tier customer with a free plan, you are eligible to subscribe to this offer. You can use free credits to cover the cost of eligible AWS infrastructure. See AWS Free Tier for more details. If you created an AWS account before July 15th, 2025, and qualify for the Legacy AWS Free Tier, Amazon EC2 charges for Micro instances are free for up to 750 hours per month. See Legacy AWS Free Tier for more details.
You pay by the hour based on the EC2 instance type you run. Three options are available: c3.large, t2.micro, and m1.medium. Each reflects a different compute size and capacity for hosting the AI agent and RAG server. Billing is usage-based, so you are charged for the hours each instance runs. You can pick the instance that fits your workload needs. There is no upfront commitment; costs scale with how long you keep an instance active.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What do the different instance types like c3.large, t2.micro, and m1.medium mean for billing?
Each name is an EC2 instance type. It defines the compute capacity, memory, and processing power of the server running the software. You are billed per hour for whichever type you choose. A larger instance costs more per hour but handles heavier workloads for the AI agent and RAG server.
Am I charged when an instance is stopped or paused?
Software charges apply per hour while an instance runs. When you stop an instance, hourly software billing stops. Stopped instances may still incur underlying AWS storage fees for attached volumes, but the software meter counts running hours only.
How do I choose between the three instance types for my workload?
Pick the instance type that matches your compute needs. All three run the same AI agent and RAG server software. They differ only in compute size and capacity. Heavier RAG pipelines and autonomous agent workflows suit larger instances. Lighter testing or low-traffic use fits a smaller instance. You pay only for the hours it runs.

An AMI is a virtual image that provides the information required to launch an instance. Amazon EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud) instances are virtual servers on which you can run your applications and workloads, offering varying combinations of CPU, memory, storage, and networking resources. You can launch as many instances from as many different AMIs as you need.
