AWS Marketplace now accepts line of credit payments through the PNC Vendor Finance program. This program is available to select AWS customers in the US, excluding NV, NC, ND, TN, & VT.
Pricing is based on the duration and terms of your contract with the vendor. This entitles you to a specified quantity of use for the contract duration. If you choose not to renew or replace your contract before it ends, access to these entitlements will expire.
Additional AWS infrastructure costs may apply. Use the AWS Pricing Calculator to estimate your infrastructure costs.
This subscription bills on one dimension: a cluster of 3 nodes. You pay per cluster unit, so cost scales with how many 3-node clusters you provision. There are no separate tiers or size options in this listing. Each cluster runs the NATS platform with Control Plane tooling, connectors, workloads, and technical support included. To expand capacity, you add more cluster units rather than choosing different plan levels. Pricing stays predictable because it ties directly to the number of 3-node clusters you buy.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What counts as one cluster unit for billing?
One unit is a single NATS cluster made up of 3 nodes. The nodes work together as one cluster. You pay per 3-node cluster you provision, and each cluster is counted as one unit toward your bill.
What do I get inside each 3-node cluster subscription?
Each cluster runs the NATS platform with Control Plane for securing and monitoring, connectors that move data to external systems, workloads for distributed compute, and an HTTP gateway. Technical support with a response-time SLA is also included with the subscription.
Are there usage limits on connections, streams, or leaf nodes per cluster?
No artificial usage limits apply to a cluster. You can use it fully without caps on connections, streams, consumers, or leaf nodes. Because pricing ties to the number of 3-node clusters, your cost does not change with how heavily you use each cluster.

An AMI is a virtual image that provides the information required to launch an instance. Amazon EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud) instances are virtual servers on which you can run your applications and workloads, offering varying combinations of CPU, memory, storage, and networking resources. You can launch as many instances from as many different AMIs as you need.
Choosing a Machine Type:
The default machine type was chosen to be economical for developers and not intended for
benchmarking. NATS can run on extremely low resource environments so we recommend
choosing an machine type that meets your needs as detailed here:
Note that the NATS server is usually network bound, so be sure to choose a machine type that
meets your network requirements. When JetStream is enabled, you will also need to account for
storage performance with EBS. Here are some suggestions as a starting place, although we
recommend testing a variety of images to ensure your throughput and storage needs are met.
NATS Core:
Basic Development and Experimentation: t3a.medium
High Speed Production Usage: c4.2xlarge
Extreme Performance/Benchmarking: c6a.32xlarge
NATS JetStream:
Basic Development and Experimentation: t3a.medium
High Speed Production Usage: d3.8xlarge
Extreme Performance/Benchmarking: d3en.12xlarge
Once the VM is deployed, access your instance via SSH and refer to the file
/etc/nats-server/auth.conf for the default system account credentials and
user account credentials.
