You pay by the hour for compute instances, billed only while they run. Compute options split into CPU and GPU families. CPU instances come in AMD and Intel types, each in Low, Medium, and High sizes that scale vCPUs and RAM. GPU instances span AMD and Nvidia cards (V100, A100, a10), sized by card count. A Head Node instance runs your cluster and bills hourly. Separate usage dimensions cover network infrastructure per hour, network transfer per GB, and Lustre storage per 1200GB-hour. You combine these dimensions to match your workload.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
Am I charged when a compute instance is stopped or my job finishes?
You pay per hour only while instances run. When a job finishes, you can terminate compute nodes so they stop accruing charges. AutoHPC spins up nodes when jobs run and terminates them once they end, so idle running time is what you avoid by shutting down.
What does one GPU instance unit actually include for billing?
Each GPU dimension bills per hour based on card type and count. AMD GPU instances include 1, 2, or 4 Epyc ROME cards. Nvidia GPU instances include V100, A100, or a10 cards, ranging from 1 to 8 cards. You pick the instance sized to your workload.
How do the compute, network, and storage charges combine on one bill?
Each dimension bills independently and adds together. Compute instances and the Head Node bill per hour. Network infrastructure bills per hour, network transfer bills per GB, and Lustre storage bills per 1200GB-hour. Your total sums every dimension you use. Compute hours usually drive the largest share for GPU workloads.
