The integration between TrendAI™ and AWS Network Firewall offers a seamless Cloud Intrusion Prevention System (IPS) solution. With a single click, AWS users can enable TrendAI™ managed rules for Cloud IPS, leveraging global threat intelligence and the continuously updated Digital Vaccine™ program. This integration simplifies rule management, reduces operational overhead, and ensures comprehensive protection against malware, with active CVEs, and exploit techniques soon to follow, making advanced cloud security effortless and effective.
The integration between TrendAI™ and AWS Network Firewall introduces a new, native solution for Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS) in the cloud, designed to simplify and enhance security for AWS users. With TrendAI™ Cloud IPS rule groups, organizations can enable industry-leading protection with just a single click, eliminating the need for manual rule creation and maintenance. This solution leverages TrendAI™ global threat intelligence and the Digital Vaccine™ program to continuously update IPS filters, offering robust protection against a wide range of threats, including malware, active CVEs, and exploit techniques. One of the key benefits of this integration is the reduction of operational overhead. Traditional IPS solutions often require complex routing changes, infrastructure modifications, and ongoing rule updates, which can slow down operations and strain resources. The native integration with AWS Network Firewall ensures that no additional deployment or infrastructure changes are needed, making it easier for organizations to protect their cloud environments without disrupting their existing workflows. This frictionless experience means faster time to protection, fewer operational risks, and more time for security teams to focus on strategic initiatives. Along with Trend Zero Day Initiative, TrendAI™ can release rule groups for emerging threats faster than anyone else, addressing the challenge of resource constraints faced by many organizations. Lean security teams, often stretched thin, can now access out-of-the-box protection without sacrificing depth or coverage. The continuously updated IPS filters ensure comprehensive protection against emerging threats, allowing organizations to stay ahead of the evolving threat landscape. Moreover, the integration supports agility and innovation, enabling security teams to adopt new AWS services confidently, knowing their network firewall is backed by advanced threat intelligence. This strategic shift in cloud security empowers organizations to secure their infrastructure effectively and effortlessly, aligning security and DevOps for a proactive, agile, and modern approach to cloud network protection. AWS Marketplace now accepts line of credit payments through the PNC Vendor Finance program. This program is available to select AWS customers in the US, excluding NV, NC, ND, TN, & VT.
You pay based on the volume of network firewall traffic processed, measured in gigabytes (GB). Pricing is usage-based, so your cost scales with how much traffic the service inspects. Each dimension covers a specific AWS Region, from us-east-1 to ap-southeast-5 and beyond. The per-GB rate can vary by Region, so you are billed at the rate for wherever your traffic is processed. You are not locked into a fixed quantity or commitment. Choose the Region dimensions that match where your workloads run, and you pay only for the traffic handled in those Regions.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What counts as one gigabyte of network firewall traffic for billing?
You are billed per gigabyte of traffic that the firewall inspects and processes. The meter counts data flowing through the inline network inspection, not stored data. Both inbound, outbound, and lateral traffic that passes through inspection contribute to the total processed volume in a given Region.
Am I charged when no traffic flows through the firewall in a Region?
Charges accrue only for gigabytes actually processed. If no traffic passes through inspection in a Region, no processing charge applies for that Region. Because billing is usage-based with no fixed quantity or commitment, your cost drops when traffic volume drops and rises when it grows.
If my workloads run in several Regions, how do the dimension charges combine?
Each Region is billed independently at its own per-gigabyte rate. Traffic processed in one Region does not offset or combine with another. Your invoice adds the processed volume from each Region separately, so total cost is the sum of per-Region charges for wherever your workloads run.
