    Lenses EC2

This option will launch Lenses for AWS AMI in EC2 with VPC Support, a CloudWatch log group, an IAM Role and Security group for your instance. Version 5.0.0-rc provides new initial dynamic configuration, via the Wizard mode only, after EC2 instance start. A next release 5.0.0 will include auto-provisioning. Also upgrades from the previous 4.3 version can be performed only if LensesStorage is postgres. Make sure to either backup your local H2 database, or move storage option to Postgresql, before upgrade.

    CloudFormation Template (CFT)

AWS CloudFormation templates are JSON or YAML-formatted text files that simplify provisioning and management on AWS. The templates describe the service or application architecture you want to deploy, and AWS CloudFormation uses those templates to provision and configure the required services (such as Amazon EC2 instances or Amazon RDS DB instances). The deployed application and associated resources are called a "stack."
