A unit maps to an endpoint the platform manages — physical, virtual, hybrid, or remote devices. Each device the single agent installs on counts as one unit. Your cost scales with the number of endpoints you commit to per module.
Each module is licensed independently and priced per unit. You can license one module or several, and charges add together for the modules you select. Tanium Core provides the shared visibility foundation the other modules draw on. Your total reflects each module's units.
You run the platform in your own environment using a single lightweight agent per endpoint. Its peer-to-peer architecture queries endpoints without a hub-and-spoke setup, reducing network overhead. Integrations with existing security and IT tools do not require added infrastructure.

Notwithstanding anything else to the contrary, if you accept the Marketplace Offer in a Marketplace for the Tanium products and services (the Order); (a) you may not cancel or terminate the Order; and (b) if you do not pay the Marketplace the total fees for the Order, you agree to pay Tanium directly any portion of the total fees due for the Order not paid to the Marketplace (the Unpaid Balance) within thirty (30) days after you receive an invoice from Tanium for the Unpaid Balance.

What do you like best about the product?
What I like most about Tanium is its strong endpoint visibility and real-time data access, which makes monitoring and troubleshooting much faster. The intuitive interface and powerful automation also help streamline workflows and improve overall IT efficiency.

What do you like best about the product?
What I like most about Tanium is the strong visibility and control it provides across endpoints and infrastructure. Being able to quickly collect real-time information on systems, applications, configurations, and overall security posture is extremely helpful for troubleshooting and day-to-day operational work. It also reduces the time needed to investigate issues by delivering centralized, actionable data across a large environment. The automation and endpoint management features make routine operational tasks more efficient, and the platform’s scalability makes it a good fit for large, distributed environments. Overall, Tanium has improved visibility, accelerated troubleshooting, and streamlined endpoint management for me.
What do you dislike about the product?
One area that could be improved is the learning curve, particularly for users who are new to the platform. Some features and workflows take time to grasp, and more intuitive navigation along with clearer in-product guidance would make the overall experience easier for new users. Querying and managing large environments can also require a solid understanding of Tanium’s architecture and query language. Additionally, some advanced capabilities may need extra configuration and the right level of expertise to be used effectively. What do you like best about the product?
The speed, hands down. You can run a query across thousands of devices and get results in seconds — not minutes or hours like our old tool. It makes incident response and audits so much easier. Also love that everything (patching, vulnerability scans, compliance) is in one place instead of juggling multiple tools.
What do you dislike about the product?
The learning curve, honestly. It's not very beginner-friendly and the UI feels outdated — takes a while to figure out where everything is. Setup was also a bit of a pain with all the network configurations. Definitely not something you can just pick up and use right away.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Mainly it's helping us get real-time visibility across all our endpoints. Before Tanium, it took forever to run reports and check if systems were patched or vulnerable. Now I can see everything in seconds. It's also made incident response way faster — if something looks off, I can dig into any device immediately without waiting around. Saves me a ton of time and stress during audits and security checks.

What do you like best about the product?
I like that Tanium makes service desk work easier for me, which is a big help. I also use and value the threat response, patch management, and deploy features. Additionally, I found the initial setup of Tanium to be very much easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find the reporting constraints and premium pricing of Tanium to be drawbacks.

What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about Tanium is the speed and accuracy of real-time endpoint visibility across our entire environment. Instead of waiting minutes or hours for scan results like with older tools, we get live answers back from tens of thousands of endpoints in seconds, which has cut our incident response time from hours down to minutes.
The single-console design covering asset discovery, patching, compliance, and threat response means our team isn't jumping between five different tools anymore. This alone has saved us several hours a week that used to go into manually correlating data across systems.
Integrations with our existing SIEM and ticketing systems were straightforward to set up, and the platform's linear chain architecture means it scales without the performance hit we used to see with agent-heavy tools that bogged down endpoints and network bandwidth.
