Cakewalk is the first governance layer built for AI agents, with full access management for the human identities behind them.
As teams adopt autonomous AI agents, traditional identity tools fall short, because they were never designed for software that acts on its own. Cakewalk routes every agent action through a runtime policy gateway and evaluates it against your own policies before it runs. When an agent needs access a user doesn't have, the action pauses, Cakewalk provisions on the user's behalf, and the task continues without failed runs or restarts. Every agent action traces back to the person who delegated it, in one complete audit trail that's ready for SOC 2, ISO 27001, and ISO 42001.
Because agents act on behalf of people, Cakewalk governs both in one place. Each agent inherits context dynamically from the human who delegated it, so you control every permission rather than only what your IdP sees. Agent access management and human access management work together, but each can also be used on its own, so you can start with whichever fits your needs today and add the other when you're ready.
For human identities, Cakewalk automates the full access lifecycle: onboarding and offboarding synced with your IdP and HRIS, Slack native access requests, access reviews, and audit evidence at the click of a button. It discovers applications across your environment, surfaces dormant accounts and excessive access, and helps teams cut time spent on access management significantly while closing security gaps.

This contract covers two separate access dimensions, each priced per unit for the agreed term. Human Access units cover people who use the platform, where the product automates onboarding, provisioning, requests, reviews, and offboarding. AI Agent Access units cover AI agents, where the platform evaluates each agent action against your policies before it reaches an app. You buy units for each type independently, so you scale the two by adding units as your number of human users and AI agents grows. Both draw on one shared identity and policy model.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What counts as one AI Agent Access unit for billing?
An AI Agent Access unit covers one AI agent that your team runs, across any platform. Each agent routes its actions through the policy gateway. The platform discovers agents your team uses, so you count each distinct agent as one unit regardless of which client it runs in.
What counts as one Human Access unit for billing?
A Human Access unit covers one person who uses the platform. The product imports people from your identity source with their team, title, and manager. Each imported person who gets managed access counts as one unit for the contract term.
Which dimension drives my cost as I add AI agents versus people?
The two dimensions bill independently and add together on one contract. Human Access units scale with your headcount of people. AI Agent Access units scale with the number of agents your team runs. Since an agent inherits its person's access, growth in agents can track growth in people.
