Smaller sizes like t3.medium suit light use, while larger sizes and metal instances handle heavier workloads. You choose the instance that fits your JD Edwards EnterpriseOne needs, with no long-term contract. The software is pre-deployed in the AMI, so hourly charges begin when you launch.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
The AMI bundles the full EnterpriseOne stack: the Windows operating system, WebLogic, an HTML server, an AIS server, the database, the Enterprise Server, and the Deployment Server. Everything is pre-deployed, so no separate hardware or long-term contract is needed. Your hourly charge covers this bundled stack running on the instance you launch.
Hourly software charges meter running time only, so a stopped instance stops accruing them. Underlying AWS resources like storage can still incur separate AWS fees while the instance is stopped. Charges begin again when you restart the instance, since the software is already deployed in the AMI.
Each dimension maps to one EC2 instance type billed per hour. One unit equals one hour of runtime on that specific instance size. Larger instances carry more compute, memory, or capacity, so the hourly rate reflects the resources of the instance you choose. You run one instance type at a time.

Amazon EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud) instances are virtual servers on which you can run your applications and workloads, offering varying combinations of CPU, memory, storage, and networking resources.
