Highlights
Unlimited build-agent concurrency:
Engineering teams can now build software at unprecedented speed, even with thousands of daily commits and millions of lines of code in their monorepos. With Buildkite's SaaS control plane, platform engineering teams can focus on empowering engineering teams rather than trying to scale their build systems.
Composable, unopinionated architecture:
Buildkite offers scalable components that can be assembled into a delivery system tailored to your needs, including an open-source build agent that keeps customers' proprietary code and secrets secure from any third parties, including Buildkite.
Buildkite's hybrid architecture provides unmatched flexibility and fine-grained choice regarding where and how pipelines run, including self-hosted in the cloud, multi-cloud, or on-premises.
Build anywhere:
Buildkite supports all software delivery workloads and use cases with a single comprehensive platform. Platform engineering teams can provide golden pathways and specific toolchains and processes for all engineering teams across any use case, including enterprise and customer-facing apps, mobile app delivery, AI/ML workloads, on-device testing, self-driving cars, and more.

AWS Marketplace now accepts line of credit payments through the PNC Vendor Finance program. This program is available to select AWS customers in the US, excluding NV, NC, ND, TN, & VT.
Pricing is based on the duration and terms of your contract with the vendor. This entitles you to a specified quantity of use for the contract duration. If you choose not to renew or replace your contract before it ends, access to these entitlements will expire.
Additional AWS infrastructure costs may apply. Use the AWS Pricing Calculator to estimate your infrastructure costs.
This listing offers one pricing dimension: the Scale-Out Delivery Bundle, billed per user. You commit through a contract, and your cost scales with the number of users you include. Active users are unique people who log in, use the API, or trigger a build in a given month. The bundle groups CI/CD capabilities across pipelines, testing, package registries, and hosted agents into a single per-user rate. See the Product Overview for what the bundle includes. Contact the vendor for details on any usage-based components or capacity beyond the bundle.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What counts as one active user for billing under the Scale-Out Delivery Bundle?
An active user is any unique person who accesses the system in a given month. That includes logging into the web platform, interacting with the API, or triggering a build. Each unique person counts once, regardless of how many times they access the system that month.
What happens to my cost if I add more agents or run more concurrent build jobs?
The bundle bills per active user, not per agent or per job. You can connect self-hosted agents with no concurrency limits, and adding agents does not change your per-user rate. Hosted compute usage may carry separate charges. Contact the vendor for capacity beyond the bundle.
Are hosted agent minutes or managed tests billed separately from the per-user rate?
The bundle groups CI/CD capabilities into a single per-user rate. Hosted agent compute is metered per vCPU minute, and managed tests are tracked for usage-based measurement. These usage components may bill separately from the per-user rate. Contact the vendor to confirm what your bundle includes.

Great product, Flexible Pipelines, and Great Support
Reviewed on Aug 24, 2026

What do you like best about the product?
Lots of flexibility on how to design your pipelines. Great customer support. All data is available to query through GraphQL and the more used information is available through Rest. The ability to annotate pipelines in the UI allows us to highlight data/issues to our users. Very few stability issues this year and when there were they were either minor issues that users didn't notice or Github was down. Absolutely worth the money, it is allowing us to do things that would be very difficult out of the box with other providers.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not a fan of the new pipeline UI (hard to see what I need to debug infrastructure issues), but Buildkite hasn't forced anyone over to it since it was introduced a year ago.
For SOX compliance, the user roles could use more granularity and the Audit log is difficult to use.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is solving management of our complex pipelines, allowing us to easily manage running hundreds of jobs for our test pipelines.

Developer-Friendly CI/CD with Powerful Customization and Responsive Support
Reviewed on Aug 11, 2026
Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
The developer-friendly environment to build CI/CD pipelines in a variety of different ways with lots of customisations via plugins that can be built to cater for different use-cases. The customer support is responsive and receptive to feedback as well, which makes dealing with issues a lot more painless. Furthermore, the option for self-hosted CI/CD agents allows us to ensure security and performance can be catered to our criteria.
What do you dislike about the product?
The integrations between buildkite and jira are less seamless, so linking builds to jira tickets with the relevant github pull requests all in a single view might have less first party support and make it more difficult to aggregate and correlate changes with successful builds.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Being able to run builds completely in our own environment was essential in a highly regulated industry like ours, with the alternatives at the time requiring significantly more workarounds and makeshift solutions, buildkite was able to provide a lot of the customisations that we wanted out of the box.
Furthermore, first party support via the pipeline primitives were a lot more versatile and worked well with transferring a lot of our legacy business processes over without requiring as much engineering effort but with greater reassurances that things will work the way we expect it to.
Overall, it provided us a strong CI/CD platform to continue grow out our cloud presence and being unhindered by the scaling challenges that come with most other CI/CD platforms.

Reliable CI/CD with good Self-Hosted options

Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
I really appreciate Buildkite's self-hosted agents, which allow for more flexibility and fit well within our security posture. The core product has good UX, which is straightforward and easy to use, helping engineers debug and troubleshoot builds effectively. It has decent extensibility and simple to set up. The account team is nice to work with.
What do you dislike about the product?
I feel that the pace of product development in Buildkite has been a bit stagnant in recent years. However, there seems to have been some reinvigoration in the product team in the recent 6-8 months. If they keep it up they will definitely pull out of this.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We run all of our CI on it with self-hosted agents. CI is essential to modern software delivery.
