This is a repackaged open source software product wherein additional charges apply for AMI packaging, first-boot configuration and setup documentation. Run Uptime Kuma v2.5.5 as a loopback HTTPS monitoring dashboard on Ubuntu 24.04 with SQLite, HTTP/TCP/DNS/ping checks and automatic per-instance TLS setup.
This is a repackaged open source software product wherein additional charges apply for independent AWS packaging, validation, maintenance and setup documentation. Louis Lam authors Uptime Kuma under MIT; Software Sushi supplies the AMI recipe, pinned Node.js runtime and source build, first-boot identity and setup documentation without claiming upstream endorsement.
Launch the approved version on t3.medium with at least 16 GiB encrypted root storage and at least 4 GiB RAM. Connect with AWS Systems Manager as ubuntu or restrict SSH to your administrative CIDR. First boot creates TLS material and a local admin password; nothing sensitive is baked into the image. Uptime Kuma listens on 127.0.0.1:3001 with nginx HTTPS on 127.0.0.1:8443. Open the dashboard through Session Manager port forwarding. Keep credentials out of recordings and tickets.
The standard software fee is described in the AWS Marketplace offer terms. EC2, EBS and data-transfer charges are billed separately. See the offer terms for applicable billing promotions.
After launch, wait for cloud-init to finish, then follow the bundled README for configuration, backup and day-2 operations. IAM is optional unless you add AWS-targeted alerting or private endpoint checks. Browser monitors are out of scope because Chromium is not installed.

This listing uses one usage-based pricing dimension billed by the hour on a t3.medium Amazon EC2 instance. You pay the hourly software rate for each hour the instance runs, so your cost scales directly with runtime. There are no tiers or instance-size choices to compare here. The AMI runs in your own AWS account, and AWS infrastructure such as EC2, storage, and data transfer is billed separately from this software charge. Any connected third-party services may also carry their own separate costs.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What am I getting with the t3.medium hourly rate?
You pay the software rate for each hour a t3.medium Amazon EC2 instance runs the pre-installed monitoring AMI in your AWS account. The t3.medium is a fixed instance size with two virtual CPUs and moderate memory. You add your own credentials after launch and manage the instance yourself.
Am I charged the software rate when the instance is stopped?
The hourly software charge meters running time only, so a fully stopped instance does not accrue software charges. Stopped instances may still carry AWS storage fees for attached volumes. Those AWS costs are billed separately from this software charge.
What costs sit outside the hourly software charge?
AWS infrastructure such as EC2 compute, EBS storage, networking, and data transfer is billed separately. Any connected third-party services you link after launch may also carry their own charges. Review the current listing before subscribing to confirm what applies to your setup.

An AMI is a virtual image that provides the information required to launch an instance. Amazon EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud) instances are virtual servers on which you can run your applications and workloads, offering varying combinations of CPU, memory, storage, and networking resources. You can launch as many instances from as many different AMIs as you need.
