Dimensions summary
You pay by the hour based on the EC2 instance type you run. Each dimension maps to one instance size, so pricing scales with the compute, memory, and storage that instance provides. Smaller instances like t3.nano or t2.micro carry lower hourly rates. Larger instances such as x1e.32xlarge or m5d.metal carry higher rates. You choose the instance that fits your workload, and billing follows actual runtime hours. There are no upfront commitments or fixed terms. Cost depends entirely on which instance you select and how long you run it.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
Each unit is one hour of running the selected EC2 instance type. The listing packages Docker on Ubuntu 22.04 LTS as a pre-configured image. You pay the hourly software rate for the chosen instance plus the underlying AWS infrastructure cost for that instance.
The software rate meters running hours only. A fully stopped instance does not accrue hourly software charges. You still pay AWS for attached storage while the instance sits stopped. Charges resume when you start the instance again.
You are not locked into any single instance. Each dimension bills independently per hour. To scale, stop the smaller instance and launch a larger one, or run multiple instances. Billing follows whichever instance types you actually run and for how long.

To begin using this image, connect via SSH. Until you connect SSH into the instance and validate your credentials, you will not be able to access the Software. To connect to the operating system, use SSH and the username ubuntu.
