See AWS Free Tier for more details. See Legacy AWS Free Tier for more details.
You pay by the hour based on the AWS EC2 instance type you run aaPanel on. Pricing is usage-based, so charges accrue only while an instance runs. The dimensions map to standard EC2 instance families, including general-purpose M-series (m3, m4, m5, m5a, m5ad, m5d, m5dn, m5n, m5zn, m6a, m6i) and burstable T-series (t2, t3, t3a). Within each family, hourly rates scale with instance size, from nano and micro up to metal and 48xlarge. Larger instances provide more compute and memory, so you choose the size that fits your workload.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What do I get with each hourly instance, and what does aaPanel add?
Each hourly rate maps to one running AWS EC2 instance of the selected type. aaPanel is a self-contained control panel that bundles the libraries, databases, and runtimes needed to run supported web applications. Larger instance types give you more vCPU and memory for heavier workloads.
Am I charged when my instance is stopped or paused?
Software charges accrue per hour only while the instance runs. When you stop or terminate the instance, hourly software charges stop. Stopped instances may still incur separate AWS storage fees for attached volumes, but the aaPanel software meters running time only.
How is cost affected when I move to a larger instance type?
You pay the hourly rate tied to whichever instance type is currently running. Moving from a smaller size like t3.micro to a larger one like m6i.32xlarge changes your rate for hours run on the new size. The switch is manual, based on the instance you launch.

An AMI is a virtual image that provides the information required to launch an instance. Amazon EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud) instances are virtual servers on which you can run your applications and workloads, offering varying combinations of CPU, memory, storage, and networking resources. You can launch as many instances from as many different AMIs as you need.
