Cloud security assessments have improved cost control and vulnerability management across clients
What is our primary use case?
My company relies on security assessments and vulnerabilities in our cloud environment in Azure , so we scan using CloudSphere .
We work in MSP and Azure MSP with multiple clients, using two tools: Prisma and OpsRamp , and also CloudSphere . We use it to integrate our clients' cloud environments, which then provides us with a report on how secure our client environment is in Azure, enabling us to improve their resources and enhance security and vulnerability scanning.
We have a service principal and use the service principal to dedicate one user for the integration. Using the service principal, we integrate our multiple projects from one platform.
What is most valuable?
The best features CloudSphere offers are vulnerability scanning, an interactive user interface, cost optimization, and streamlined governance policies.
When we started using CloudSphere, it gave us multiple options to create interactive dashboards for our customers and helped us optimize costs for our clients' environments. With more than 100 clients at that time, it provided us with an overview of where we were spending extra money and how we could decrease it.
What needs improvement?
The alerting system could be explored further, as it would help users integrate the alerting system more effectively. Additionally, an AI feature would be beneficial, as AI is prevalent nowadays and could integrate into environments to help customers.
I would particularly like to see the AI feature added to CloudSphere so it automatically integrates into our environment and generates comprehensive reports, which would decrease workload from the engineer's perspective.
If CloudSphere integrates AI and guides users on which security compliance they need to follow, AI could automatically scan everything and provide a report stating which areas need improvement and what points require attention.
For how long have I used the solution?
I used CloudSphere for two years for remediation, asset security, and vulnerability checks.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
Reliability and accuracy are good. During our two years of using CloudSphere, we found that there was no downtime, the environment was smooth with no lag, and it is always available 24/7. Additionally, support from the support team has been good.
What was our ROI?
One example involves a US client whose name I cannot disclose. They were spending almost $60,000 across different subscriptions, and after integrating CloudSphere, we saved almost $6,000 or $7,000 starting from the first month.
Which other solutions did I evaluate?
The company I currently work with does not have any relationship with CloudSphere. However, the company where I worked previously was a customer of CloudSphere.
What other advice do I have?
To others, if a company is looking for a security vulnerability tool or governance and policy tools that help improve their environment, I would recommend CloudSphere because it is very helpful, easy to use, user interactive, and provides many functions and features. I gave this review a rating of 8.5 out of 10.
A highly scalable and stable tool that provides good technical support and enables users to manage and optimize resources
What is our primary use case?
I use the solution for our hyper-converged infrastructure within the organization for hospital management. We also access some of the integrated Active Directory and other integrated services related to Microsoft.
What is most valuable?
As a system administrator, the features in CloudSphere HyperGrid are very, very beneficial for me. The product is helpful for the management, optimization, and utilization of resources. I can handle the collaboration and manageability completely with my account.
What needs improvement?
The solution must have a single management console for the resources and VMs. There should be one portal.
For how long have I used the solution?
My organization is using the private cloud services of the product. My organization has been using the solution for three years.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
The tool is 100% stable. Though we used the product for three years, we implemented only two or three patches. It is very stable. It has a maximum integration capacity toward any OS. The product is really scalable and stable.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
The tool has ample scalability. I rate the scalability a nine out of ten. Scalability can be improved, though.
How are customer service and support?
During the rebuilding process, we faced problems with the nodes and opened a ticket with the vendor. The support person provided us with a solution within two to three hours. We had a good experience with them.
How was the initial setup?
The product was handed over to us with pre-installed configurations. We just mounted our server in the rack and enabled the connectivity. The initial setup was quite easy to manage. We are using a private cloud to optimize our hospital management system. We have discussed with the vendor the solution's scalability from private to public cloud for our future needs. All the infrastructure was installed within 15 days.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
The product is very expensive. It is the only reason my previous organization switched to a different product.
What other advice do I have?
We have a FortiGate license. The product is very good. The technical support is also very good. If the solution provides a single console to manage everything, it would be more convenient and powerful for system administration. Overall, I rate the tool an eight and a half out of ten.
