You pay by the hour for Oracle Linux 8.7 with support from TIOV IT. Pricing is usage-based, so you are billed only for the hours each instance runs. There is no upfront commitment. Each dimension maps to a specific AWS EC2 instance type, and the hourly rate reflects that instance's size and family. Smaller instances like t3.micro carry lower hourly rates, while larger compute, memory, storage, and GPU instances such as m8i.96xlarge or p5.48xlarge carry higher rates. You choose the instance type that fits your workload and scale by selecting a different size.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What do I actually get for the hourly rate on each instance type?
You get a virtual machine running Oracle Linux 8.7 with support from TIOV IT. Each dimension maps to one AWS EC2 instance type. The hourly rate covers the software and support layer for that running instance. The instance's CPU, memory, and storage specs come from the chosen EC2 type.
Am I charged when my instance is stopped or paused?
The hourly software charge accrues only while the instance runs. Stopped or paused instances do not accrue the hourly software fee. Underlying AWS charges, such as storage for the attached volume, may still apply separately. Billing tracks actual running hours per instance.
How do I scale up or down, and does my rate change?
You scale by selecting a different EC2 instance type from the dimension list. Each type carries its own hourly rate tied to its size and family. There is no automatic tier upgrade. You launch the size your workload needs and pay that instance's rate for the hours it runs.
