This Oracle Linux 8.10 AMI is built for teams that want a clean Oracle Linux start on EC2, without spending the first hours on basic security and AWS tooling. The seller applied a practical security and operations baseline so instances start ready for production-style use.

Dimensions summary
You pay by the hour for a hardened Oracle Linux 8.10 image running on your chosen AWS EC2 instance type. Each dimension maps to one specific instance type, such as general-purpose, compute-optimized, memory-optimized, storage-optimized, or accelerated-compute families. Your hourly software rate depends on the instance you pick. Smaller instances carry lower hourly rates, and larger instances carry higher rates that scale with the resources they provide. You are not locked into a term. Billing runs only while an instance runs, so cost tracks your actual usage.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
Each dimension bills one running EC2 instance of that specific type per hour. The rate covers the hardened Oracle Linux 8.10 software license on that instance. You pay for each instance-hour it runs. Running two instances of the same type bills two instance-hours for each hour they both run.
The software rate meters running time only. A stopped instance does not accrue software charges. When you restart it, hourly billing resumes. Note that AWS may still charge for attached storage on stopped instances, but that is separate from this software license.
You are not locked into any instance type. Launch a different dimension when your needs change. Your bill then reflects the new instance type's hourly rate for the hours it runs. Because there is no term commitment, you can switch families or sizes at any time.

Usage instructions

Info regarding virtual machines The operating system does not save any sensitive information for the customers. The customer is responsible for saving any information, sensitive or not. The data saved on the volumes is not encrypted by default. All instance authentication must use key pair access, not password-based authentication. AMIs does not contain passwords, authentication keys, key pairs, security keys, or other credentials. PasswordAuthentication is set to NO in sshd_config. The application does not make use of any encryption techniques.
Troubleshooting Navigate to your Amazon EC2 console and verify that you're in the correct region. Choose Instance and select your launched instance. Select the server to display your metadata page and choose the Status checks tab at the bottom of the page to review if your status checks passed or failed.
