Six-Pillar Assessment Framework
Uptic assesses your engineering foundation across six pillars:
- Standards and Architecture - Consistency, governance, and decision making across teams. Alignment with AWS Well-Architected Framework principles.
- CI/CD and Release Engineering - Pipeline maturity, branching strategy, and release velocity. Assessment covers tooling such as AWS CodePipeline, CodeBuild, and CodeDeploy, as well as third-party CI/CD platforms running on AWS.
- Testing - Coverage depth, execution time, and confidence in what ships. Identification of gaps where test suites are being trimmed to meet release windows.
- Developer Experience and Internal Developer Platform - Provisioning speed, self-service capabilities, and onboarding friction. Evaluation of AWS Service Catalog usage and infrastructure automation.
- Observability and Feedback Loops - Signal quality, incident response, and production visibility. Assessment of Amazon CloudWatch, AWS X-Ray, and CloudTrail integration patterns.
- Security and Governance - Integration across the delivery lifecycle and compliance controls. Review of AWS Security Hub, GuardDuty, and IAM policy maturity.

Who This Is For
This assessment is designed for organizations with established engineering teams (typically 20 to 300 developers) who are adopting or scaling AI-assisted development on AWS. Common scenarios include:

Scope and Prerequisites
The engagement requires read-level access to your source repositories, CI/CD pipeline configurations, and AWS account infrastructure relevant to the delivery lifecycle. The assessment does NOT include hands-on remediation, code refactoring, or implementation of recommended changes. Those are scoped as follow-on engagements based on the roadmap output.
Prerequisites: an active AWS account with production workloads, at least one established CI/CD pipeline, and availability of engineering team members for structured interviews (typically 4-6 hours total across the engagement).

The output is a prioritized improvement roadmap that identifies which pillar is constraining your delivery most, with clear recommendations, effort estimates, and specific AWS service alignment grounded in Well-Architected principles. It includes:

Data Handling
All client data, including interview notes, architecture diagrams, and pipeline configurations, is stored in encrypted environments with role-based access controls. Uptic offers mutual NDAs prior to engagement start.
