Dimensions summary
You pay by the hour based on the AWS EC2 instance size you run. No monthly subscription applies. Each dimension maps to a specific instance type across three families: t3 and t3a burstable instances (small through 2xlarge), m5 general-purpose instances (2xlarge through 24xlarge), and c5 compute-optimized instances (large through 24xlarge). Your hourly rate rises as you move to instances with more CPU and memory. This lets you scale vertically by choosing a bigger instance, or run smaller sizes for lighter workloads. You select the size that fits your performance and budget needs.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
You get a running EC2 instance sized to that dimension, preloaded with the Node.js and React.js deployment stack. The instance type sets the CPU and memory. Burstable t3 and t3a types suit lighter workloads. The m5 and c5 types provide steadier compute and memory for heavier loads.
The software fee meters running instance-hours only. A fully stopped instance stops accruing the hourly software charge. Underlying AWS resources like storage volumes may still incur separate AWS fees while the instance is stopped. You pay the software rate only while the instance runs.
