AWS Marketplace now accepts line of credit payments through the PNC Vendor Finance program. This program is available to select AWS customers in the US, excluding NV, NC, ND, TN, & VT.
Pricing is based on actual usage, with charges varying according to how much you consume. Subscriptions have no end date and may be canceled any time. Alternatively, you can pay upfront for a contract, which typically covers your anticipated usage for the contract duration. Any usage beyond contract will incur additional usage-based costs.
Additional AWS infrastructure costs may apply. Use the AWS Pricing Calculator to estimate your infrastructure costs.
You pay by the hour for this hardened Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10 image with Docker, running on ARM-based instances. Each dimension maps to a specific AWS EC2 instance type, so pricing scales with the compute size you pick. Smaller shared-CPU options like t4g.nano and t4g.micro sit at one end. Larger compute, memory, storage, and network-optimized families such as c8g, r8g, m8g, x8g, i8g, and bare-metal sizes cost more per hour. Choose the instance that fits your workload; your hourly rate rises with more CPU, memory, and specialized capacity.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What does one hourly unit cover for these instance types?
One unit is one running EC2 instance of the chosen ARM type, billed per hour. The rate covers the hardened Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10 image with Docker on that instance size. Each instance you launch bills separately, and cost tracks the hours it runs.
Am I charged when an instance is stopped or paused?
The software rate meters running instance-hours only. A fully stopped instance does not accrue the hourly software charge. Underlying AWS resources like attached storage may still bill separately through AWS. Charges resume when you restart the instance.
How do I choose between the compute, memory, and storage instance families?
Each dimension maps to an EC2 family tuned for a workload. Compute families like c7g and c8g favor CPU-heavy tasks. Memory families like r8g and x8g favor large in-memory work. Storage families like i8g and im4gn favor local disk. Pick the family matching your workload, then the size.

An AMI is a virtual image that provides the information required to launch an instance. Amazon EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud) instances are virtual servers on which you can run your applications and workloads, offering varying combinations of CPU, memory, storage, and networking resources. You can launch as many instances from as many different AMIs as you need.
