Dimensions summary
You pay by the hour for the Amazon EC2 instance type you run. This software includes Nginx web server with WebUI support, and the hourly software fee changes with the instance you select. The options span general-purpose families (m1 through m6 series and t2/t3 burstable types) and memory-optimized families (r3 through r6 series). Sizes range from nano and micro up to 2xlarge. Larger or more specialized instances carry higher hourly rates. You add AWS infrastructure charges separately. There is no upfront commitment; billing tracks the hours each instance runs.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
Each rate covers the Nginx web server with WebUI support running on the Amazon EC2 instance size you pick. One instance-hour equals one hour of one running instance. The instance family and size set the amount of CPU, memory, and network capacity you receive.
The software fee meters running time only. A fully stopped instance does not accrue the hourly software charge. Stopped instances may still incur AWS storage fees for attached volumes, but those are separate AWS infrastructure charges, not the software licence.
The hourly price covers only the software licence for Nginx with WebUI support. You pay AWS infrastructure charges separately, including compute, storage, and data transfer. Choosing a memory-optimized r-series instance instead of a general-purpose or burstable type changes both the software rate and the AWS charge.
