Overview
CloudBeaver is a new universal interface for data management developed by the DBeaver team. CloudBeaver is especially adapted for AWS Cloud services. This is the light web-application that you can share among all AWS users within your company. CloudBeaver allows:
- view and edit data and metadata of your databases
- export data from tables
- run SQL-queries for SQL and NoSQL databases
- view ER-diagrams for database objects and export them. Out-of-the-box CloudBeaver supports: AWS RDS (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server), AWS Redshift, Aurora, Athena, DynamoDB, DocumentDB and Keyspaces. You can also create connections to your custom databases. Tens drivers are already included.
Highlights
- CloudBeaver works easily with your databases in AWS. In a few clicks you can setup a CloudBeaver server with connections to all your AWS and third-party databases. These connections are available for all users in your company and consider AWS permissions.
- CloudBeaver shows data from SQL and NoSQL databases as tables or in JSON view. For experienced users CloudBeaver suggests the advanced SQL-editor with syntax highlighting and auto-suggestion.
- You can look at the structure of your database on ER-diagrams. ER-diagrams are available for databases, schemas and tables.

64-bit (x86) Amazon Machine Image (AMI)
Amazon Machine Image (AMI)
An AMI is a virtual image that provides the information required to launch an instance. Amazon EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud) instances are virtual servers on which you can run your applications and workloads, offering varying combinations of CPU, memory, storage, and networking resources. You can launch as many instances from as many different AMIs as you need.
Version release notes
Changes since 25.0: Important:
- Added the ability to use HAProxy as a node balancer as an alternative to nginx.
- Connection templates were removed from the application. You can use the Connection Editor to create new connections.
- Switched the federated authorization status update mechanism to WebSocket. Authorization status changes are delivered in real time, eliminating redundant client-server exchange requests.
Administration:
- Added the ability to store Query Manager records in a file located in the workspace. You can configure it in the Preferences.
- Implemented a brute force protection policy for PostgreSQL and Redshift database connections. After repeated failed login attempts (default: 5), CloudBeaver users will be temporarily blocked. This policy is configurable via the configuration file, enhancing security against unauthorized access attempts.
- The Administration panel now has a status indicator for disabled users, which includes a clear explanation and the date the user was disabled.
- Log records now capture create, update, and delete actions for users, teams, providers, cloud storage files, and connections for improved tracking and transparency.
- Added the ability to search by usernames for user provisioning.
LDAP authorization:
- Added the ability to use LDAP user provisioning to simplify user management for a large number of users.
- Added support for secure LDAP authentication over SSL, enabling encrypted connections to directory services for safer and more compliant user authentication.
- Brute force protection is now supported for LDAP authentication. All authentication methods on the application level have this security mechanism now.
SQL Editor:
- A new setting to autosave scripts in the SQL editor appeared in global and users' preferences.
- Auto-completion has been improved for aliases and camelCase entities.
Data Editor:
- Improved table rendering to scale column width depending on the content.
- Accessibility: improved keyboard navigation by sorting buttons in column headers.
Navigation Tree:
- Added a new icon to the top of the Navigation Tree, allowing users to create simple connections more quickly and efficiently.
- Improved tree performance: lost connection does not lead to the application freezing anymore.
General:
- Added the ability to configure the default database or schema in the connection configuration.
- Enhanced initial configuration stage security: a server needs to be restarted if the initial setup time exceeds 1 hour.
- Data transfer: improved export/import functionality performance by optimizing disk memory consumption.
- Vietnamese localization has been added.
- French localization has been improved.
Databases and drivers: Azure SQL Server: the "CREATE VIEW" statement has been replaced with "CREATE OR ALTER VIEW" in the view DDL for Azure SQL Server v16 and higher. BigQuery: session mode setting has been added for connection configuration. Cassandra CosmosDB: added the ability to configure datacenter connection information. Clickhouse: driver has been updated to version 0.8.5. Dameng: added support for unique and check constraints. DuckDB: expanded the list of system objects that can be hidden in the Navigation tree. File drivers: you can now open and query XLS files using the XLSX or Multi-source drivers. Hive: added the ability to use authentication via JDBC URL. Kingbase and Teiid drivers support was added. LibSQL: added the ability to connect using token authentication. Oracle: users' DDL in Oracle is displayed in the metadata editor on the corresponding tab for users with Oracle administration permissions. SQLite: added information about a table's Strict mode to the table metadata section.
