Try this product free for 5 days according to the free trial terms set by the vendor. Usage-based pricing is in effect for usage beyond the free trial terms. Your free trial gets automatically converted to a paid subscription when the trial ends, but may be canceled any time before that.
Pricing is based on actual usage, with charges varying according to how much you consume. Subscriptions have no end date and may be canceled any time. Alternatively, you can pay upfront for a contract, which typically covers your anticipated usage for the contract duration. Any usage beyond contract will incur additional usage-based costs.
Additional AWS infrastructure costs may apply. Use the AWS Pricing Calculator to estimate your infrastructure costs.
You pay by the hour for this ELK Stack database service, billed only while it runs. Pricing is tied to the AWS EC2 instance type you select. Each dimension matches a specific instance size, from small burstable options like t2.nano and t3.small up to large compute, memory, storage, and GPU-optimized types like x1e.32xlarge and p3.16xlarge. Your hourly rate scales with the instance's capacity — larger instances cost more per hour. You choose the instance that fits your workload, and you can stop usage at any time.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What does the hourly rate cover, and what does one instance-hour include?
You pay for each hour the selected EC2 instance runs. The rate covers the ELK Stack software running on that instance. Underlying AWS compute, storage, and network resources bill separately through your AWS account. Larger instance types carry a rate matched to their compute, memory, storage, or GPU capacity.
Am I charged the hourly software rate when I stop or pause the instance?
Software charges accrue only while the instance runs. A stopped instance stops the hourly software charge. You may still pay underlying AWS storage fees for attached volumes while the instance is stopped, but the software meter counts running time only.
Can I change instance types later, and can I stop paying at any time?
You choose the instance type that fits your workload and can switch by launching a different type. Because billing is usage-based, you can stop usage at any time and charges end when the instance stops. There is no upfront commitment tied to a single instance type.
