AWS Marketplace now accepts line of credit payments through the PNC Vendor Finance program. This program is available to select AWS customers in the US, excluding NV, NC, ND, TN, & VT.
Pricing is based on the duration and terms of your contract with the vendor. This entitles you to a specified quantity of use for the contract duration. If you choose not to renew or replace your contract before it ends, access to these entitlements will expire.
Additional AWS infrastructure costs may apply. Use the AWS Pricing Calculator to estimate your infrastructure costs.
Tidal Accelerator uses a contract model priced by the number of applications you manage, not by server size or number of users. Both dimensions come as yearly subscriptions with unlimited users. The Pilot dimension covers up to 60 applications under management, suited to smaller teams or pilot migrations. The Catalyst dimension covers up to 200 applications under management, aimed at larger teams or migrations. You move to a higher application count by choosing the dimension that fits your portfolio size.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What counts as one application under management for billing?
Billing is based on the number of applications you manage, not server size or user count. Tidal takes an application-centric approach, tracking each application in your portfolio. You capture business, technical, and data context per application. The Pilot dimension caps this at 60 applications, and Catalyst caps it at 200.
How many users can access the platform under each dimension?
Both the Pilot and Catalyst dimensions include unlimited users. Your subscription cost does not change based on how many team members you add. You can roll the platform out to your entire team, including application owners and project stakeholders, without affecting the price you pay.
What happens if my portfolio grows past the application limit for my dimension?
Each dimension has a fixed application cap: 60 for Pilot and 200 for Catalyst. To manage more applications, you move to the dimension that fits your portfolio size. If you exceed 200 applications, you contact the vendor for a quote, since Marketplace dimensions stop at 200.

What do you like best about the product?
Tidal Migrations provided us with the most actionable insights we've ever had on our applications. This gave us just what we need to make informed decisions to replatform and refactor our applications to the cloud.
What do you dislike about the product?
No issues with the tool. The product was easy to use, and worked as expected.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
My organization has a suite of legacy applications spanning hundreds of servers and and millions of lines of code. Our migration project goal is to not to just rehost everything in the cloud, but to replatform and refactor as much as possible to reduce operation costs, modernize, and take advantage of cloud-native functionality.
Tidal Migrations gave us the ability to easily inventory our infrastructure and applications, assess and evaluate application and their code dependencies, and put together a data-driven plan to meet our cloud migration goals.

Useful for multiple customer cohorts

What do you like best about the product?
Tidal has allowed us to streamline specified client cohorts application ecosystems information capture, with a customizable pre-made process that we can pick up and run with, allowing for modifications as we evolve our practice.
The information is cleanly organized, actionable, and tooling is available for both the human process side, and the technological capture of information in automated ways. Together this gives a rich and complete picture of clients overall systems and migration pains.
What do you dislike about the product?
Default fields did not fit all our requirements, though we were able to customize/change these.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our specific customer cohorts utilizing this product are uniquely within the legacy datacenter and/or application space, usually using on premises applications, sometimes cohosted applications, and looking to move to hyperscale cloud providers or evaluate the cost benefits of doings so. They tend to have a mixture of extremely old (20-30 years+) legacy software mixed with new applications.
Through the defined tooling and processes we've been able to utilize Tidal's software within this space to ensure a consistent, broad coverage of migration pains, and plan accordingly. We are looking to potentially expand into other customer cohorts/segments given our successes thus far.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Tidal is probably not appropriate for a small 3-5 person company who has a single web application with a simple VM lift and shift. Where it truly shines is where you have a complex ecosystem of many applications, and/or many teams, and/or where the applications are unknown. In any environment where you need a reproducible set of criteria for evaluation and comparison, or where you have many moving variables and priorities, you'll be able to form a more objective opinion and roadmap.

What do you like best about the product?
Tidal Migrations Software provided us with a low cost, systematic methodology and software to help our clients evaluate their applications for cloud readiness while simultaneously capturing and organizing application and infrastructure relationships necessary for detailed migration planning.
What do you dislike about the product?
We had no major issues that were not resolved immediately.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As a data center strategy provider EYP Mission Critical needed a way to assess and quantify the impact of the cloud on our clients' overall data center strategy. This starts at the application level and were seeking a partner who could help us incorporate cloud strategy planning into our portfolio of services. The Tidal Migrations team and software helped us fill that need. With their software, expertise, and support, we have been able to offer a truly integrated strategy service that extends from the physical data center up through IT infrastructure and into the application layer.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
In addition to the software itself, the biggest differentiator with Tidal was the team itself. Tidal Migrations has a first rate set of consultants and developers that are always ready and willing work with us and our clients to resolve any issues.
