    Overview

VoiceThread is a communications platform that transforms learning experiences by enabling students to connect with teachers and peers authentically, but without the anxiety-inducing experience of live online interaction found in zoom classes. In a VoiceThread discussion, the interpersonal interactions are just as warm as live sessions but are instead self-paced - giving students and teachers time for thoughtful reflection and practice.

VoiceThread has been awarded ESSA Level IV and Level III certification for its alignment with standards outlined by the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) and has a proven record of efficacy across a broad range of uses. There is likely no other EdTech tool with as broad a set of applications, nor as much third-party research conducted into efficacy.

The Active User License is an enterprise wide license that provides an unlimited number of user accounts for an entire school district but bases your first-year cost on how many VoiceThread users you expect to use. You'll work with an account manager to find the correct first year entry level usage band and then at your renewal, we will use your first-year actual usage data (active users) to adjust your cost upwards or downwards for the following year. An active user is someone who comments, watches, or creates a VoiceThread.

Using this model means that you DO NOT have a cap on accounts within your license period. You can grow your VoiceThread use organically over time without worrying about incurring unbudgeted costs.

    The license includes:

Automatic account creation Single Sign-on / GAFE integration Automatic group creation and roster add/drop changes Assignment builder Grading interface Customized training sessions Expedited support Management portal and Analytics

    Highlights

    • Humanize learning interactions, assessments, dicussions, lecturing, meetings, and presentations
    • Rich interpersonal interaction and collaboration, without the stress and inefficiency of live meetings
    • Highly accessible and interoperable with Learning Management Systems / GAFE

    Dimensions summary

This listing offers three contract options based on the number of active users your K-12 district needs. You choose a tier that covers up to 1000, up to 1500, or up to 2000 active users. The tiers scale by user capacity, so you pick the option that fits your expected active user count. All three follow the same active user license model; the only difference is the user limit each supports. Pick the tier matching your district's size to stay within your covered active user count.

    Top-of-mind questions for buyers

An active user is an individual account that uses the platform, such as a student, teacher, or administrator. Your district picks a tier covering up to a set number of these active users. Minors must be enrolled through accounts created or facilitated by a school official.
Each tier caps coverage at up to 1000, 1500, or 2000 active users. If your active user count grows beyond your chosen limit, you would need to move to a tier with a higher user capacity. The tiers do not adjust automatically to added users.
All three tiers use the same active user license model. The only difference is the number of active users each covers: up to 1000, up to 1500, or up to 2000. You pick the tier that matches your district's expected active user count.
