Island is the developer of the Enterprise Browser - the ideal enterprise workplace, where work flows freely while remaining fundamentally secure. With the core needs of the enterprise naturally embedded in the browser itself, Island gives organizations complete control, visibility, and governance over the last mile, while delivering the same smooth Chromium-based browser experience users expect.
The Island Enterprise Browser is a Chromium-based web browser built for the enterprise. It's the workspace of the future, enabling organizations to protect users and data at the very point where they interact with SaaS and internal web applications. Using the Island Enterprise Browser, security teams fully control the last mile, from basic protections such as copy, paste, download, upload, and screenshot capture, to more advanced security demands such as data redaction, watermarking and multi-factor authentication insertion. This opens up unprecedented opportunities across a growing number of enterprise use cases, including securing critical SaaS and internal web applications from data leakage, safe access for contractors and BYOD workers, and full governance over privileged user accounts. It also delivers a native user experience for the hybrid worker in contrast to costly and poor-performing virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI), while supporting built-in safe browsing, web filtering, exploit prevention, and Zero Trust network access at much lower cost.
Security and Control: the Island Enterprise Browser incorporates Zero Trust by design, linking identity, device and applications through the browser itself, and incorporating critical security tools, such as malware blocking, automatic phishing protection, web filtering, and advanced last-mile controls for sensitive data. This closes the loop between SaaS, users, and enterprise data so working anywhere is finally viable.
Visibility: log any and all browser behavior, review screenshots of critical actions, & trace incidents down to the click; understand the context of each action; view all activity via customizable dashboards, and integrate with SIEM or analytics platforms for unmatched visibility.
Productivity and User Experience: install Island on any device or OS - desktop, mobile, managed or unmanaged, and because it's built on Chromium, everything behaves like you'd expect: same speed, rendering, extensions, etc. Tailor any web app or workflow without touching source code, use single sign-on to allow users to access all the apps and resources that they need, and work faster and smoother than ever before.
AWS Marketplace now accepts line of credit payments through the PNC Vendor Finance program. This program is available to select AWS customers in the US, excluding NV, NC, ND, TN, & VT.
Pricing is based on the duration and terms of your contract with the vendor. This entitles you to a specified quantity of use for the contract duration. If you choose not to renew or replace your contract before it ends, access to these entitlements will expire.
Additional AWS infrastructure costs may apply. Use the AWS Pricing Calculator to estimate your infrastructure costs.
This listing has one pricing dimension. You buy the Island Enterprise Browser together with its Management Console, billed by unit under a contract. Pricing scales with the number of units you commit to. There are no separate tiers, instance sizes, or usage add-ons to choose from. You select the quantity that matches your organization, and the console is included as part of the same purchase.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What counts as one unit for billing under the Enterprise Browser dimension?
A unit represents access to the Island Enterprise Browser and its Management Console. You count units by the number of users or installations you commit to across your organization. The Management Console is included with your unit purchase and is not billed separately.
How does my cost change as my organization adds more people?
Cost scales with the number of units you commit to. Adding more people means committing to more units. There are no separate tiers or size classes, so each added unit is priced the same way. To adjust your committed quantity, you work with the vendor directly.
Is the Management Console billed separately from the browser?
No. The single dimension covers both the Island Enterprise Browser and the Management Console together. You do not pay a separate line item for management or administration. One unit purchase includes both the browser and console access.

What do you like best about the product?
I really enjoy how easy it is to use. As a platform owner, it’s much simpler to administer, and the admin console feels more user-friendly than competing products. It also doesn’t come with nearly as many limitations, which makes day-to-day management smoother.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don’t like that Island Desktop depends on having Island Browser installed.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Island Browser helps solve application connectivity issues when contractors are using unmanaged devices.

Strong Security and Control for Safe, Isolated Access
Reviewed on Apr 21, 2026
Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
What I like most about Island is its strong security and the level of control it gives me. It lets me access Active Directory securely through Microsoft RDP while keeping my work data isolated from everything else. I also really value the built-in protections that help prevent screenshots, screen recording, and other types of data leakage.
What do you dislike about the product?
One thing I don’t like is that the security features can sometimes feel overly restrictive for day-to-day work. Simple actions like copy-paste, screen sharing, or quick data transfers can become inconvenient, and they end up slowing me down. I think the overall experience would be much smoother with more flexible controls—ideally role-based options—so the restrictions align better with what different users actually need.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Island meets the need to securely access company systems like Active Directory over Microsoft RDP, without adding extra risk of data leakage or blurring the boundary between work and personal use. For me, the biggest advantage is how clearly it keeps my work environment isolated from everything else, so I can stay focused on work without mixing it with my personal browsing. It also helps protect sensitive information by enforcing restrictions such as blocking copy-paste and screenshots, while still allowing me to work smoothly and efficiently.

Flexible, All-in-One Browser
Reviewed on Jan 30, 2026
Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
Its flexibility stands out. It allows organization administrators to seamlessly manage browser rules and policies by group. It also offers advanced, all-in-one features that you’d otherwise need multiple different solutions combined to get.
What do you dislike about the product?
I like how it prioritizes rules and policies, but it can be hard to manage them when there are conflicting policies that may look identical at first, yet have one key difference that makes things complicated. Right now, it seems to base the priority of rules and policies on their order, and I hope this can be improved in the future so it’s easier to handle and understand.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It solves some of our problems, especially by letting us control what data can and cannot leave the browser. It gives us the oversight we need so that any unauthorized or prohibited activities, particularly those involving sensitive data, are properly managed and prevented when necessary.
Another issue it addresses is its ability to block the use of other browsers that users may have installed on their own. This helps keep the environment safe at all times!
